Off to run a friend out to visit her mom in another town and then to London this evening to pick up some stuff.

Good morning my MMC friends. Having my morning coffee at the moment while sitting here in a nice air conditioned room, looking outside to a beautiful sunny day.

The kitty’s are acting more like themselves since the temperature inside here dropped from almost 80 degrees to the upper 60’s. They’re playing chase with each other right now, running all thru the house. They are so much happier. One reason is because they have a lot more room to run around in. Last night, they were running up and down the steps chasing each other, that we got worried that one of them might slip and hurt themselves on the wood steps. So, we decided to go out and get a runner for the stairs so they will have better traction.

Ah, my plans for today, well, since I got the washer and dryer hooked up last night, laundry will be an ongoing thing all day. I will replace all the locks on all the exterior doors, I will put our new grill together, (gotta have a grilled hotdog today). Then for this evening, I have to get the office together and pay bills.

It’s so exciting how it’s all slowly coming together.

Ohhh, I forgot, plus I have to call my credit card company back, they called after midnight last night and apparently, some whack job out there, got my credit card number and they tried to make a purchase of over 3,000.00 to buy airline tickets.

Luckily, I have security measures setup to contact me for specific large purchases and odd transactions, so they declined the purchase and contacted me.

So, I have to get a new card now. Perfect reason why you should never ever use your checking card to make online purchases or pay bills. There are so many ways where your key strokes get copied, logged in and stolen by software and apps.

It’s always something!

And let me tell you, our count and Milestone closeness are definitely something to set off fireworks over!

First, the numbers:
Days to the Season: 132
Days to Christmas Day: 174

Secondly: The 2/3 marker to Christmas Season 2018 is just TEN days away.
SINGLE DIGITS from TOMORROW, Folks!
(Wow. That close to being TWO thirds of the way "home"!)

Our weather? Don't ask. Just refer to the prior day's post, and the one before that, and the one before that, and........
We begin this holiday at 78 degrees here in the central part of the state.

Well, this is Wednesday which means open house at the Shispering Pines.
Carl has been well aware all year that open house falls right on the fourth.
As such, you get one guess as to this evening's theme.
Yep.
And there will be red, white, and blue frosted fired twinkies, "Yankee Doodle Iced Tea" (Yankee Doodle iced tea??), flags and bunting everywhere.
And, of course, a world-class fireworks display starting promptly at 9:30 PM.
You don't want to miss this one, Folks. Bring you appetites......and your earplugs!

Ah, the 4th of July....the time that marks when it is ok for me to turn the calendar and start looking for to Christmas...after all, we are over 1/2 there. Plan on spending time this afternoon and tomorrow doing just that.

Our plans for today are simple. We are going to Mom's to cook a steak and eat. After that, Mom is taking the girls to a fireworks show while the wife and I stay behind and watch Macy's show on TV. Coffee, reading a book, watching the fireworks...sounds like a good night.

We went to a fireworks show last night. It was a good time. My favorite part was being stuck in traffic with my family. We all had a great visit....

I don't know about y'all, but I feel unfairly blessed. Nights like last night remind me of that....

Happy 4th, friends! I work this evening, but DH is taking the kids to a party and go swimming, then see fireworks. Hopefully the weather holds out! We’re just having a picnic dinner before I head in.

Morning MMC. Happy Post-4th! We now move ahead into the hardcore summer. It's warm and humid out there. We enjoyed the fireworks last night like usual. BBQ was good with some leftovers today. Hope you all enjoy your day!

Merry Thursday!
I had to think about what day it was. My husband is on vacation this week and I feel like my days are all mixed up. I hope everyone had a happy Fourth of July. We had a really nice day with the family. Not too much going on here today. It’s going to be sunny with temps in the lower 80’s. I just fried meatballs and started a pot of sauce, dinner will be raviolis. I tidied up the house and started laundry as well. I need to run to the pet store at some point to pick a few things. Other than that we’ll just be hanging out by the pool. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

85 degrees at 9am. When did I move to the south? It looks like we get a break from the 90’s over the weekend but it’s not going to last long.

Not to much going on today. I just need to run a few errands.
