Not much going on here today but work. I already have HMM on TV! It's supposed to be a little cooler today w/ a high of 81º!
Lucy goes to the groomer on my lunch & her groomer has a 6yo male Wheaten that is going into rescue, I get to meet! She said I'm going to love him. Uh oh!!!

Morning MMC! Happy 7-11. Today is my mom's birthday so we're taking her out for dinner. I just have to find a way to leave work on time for once. Other than that, just a warm summer day here. Have a good 7-11 and if you get a free slurpee enjoy it.

Happy Wednesday!

Hard to believe that just last Wednesday it was July Fourth. I would like to do it all over again! (Plus the day off on Thursday!) But the Fourth is over and vacation is over, and it's time to embrace the grind again.

I know, right! It's like Whoa.... come on now, and slow down some and lets have that Holiday one more time! The saddest part of that is no more Holidays until Labor Day. There should be a holiday at least once a month, or an extended weekend once a month, or a 4 day work week every week. Oh well, wishful thinking!

Good Morning dear friends. I have to say, for this hump day, I almost didn't make it over the hump this morning.

We have been staying up very late doing things around the house and I have been averaging about 4 hours sleep a night. Well it's catching up to me!
The alarm clock went off, nahhhh, I shut it off. The second alarm went off, nahhhh, I shut that one off too! I fell back asleep, woke up at 7:30. Yep, late! Then I thought to myself, "Maybe, I should just call in this morning, "cough-cough", and just stay home today, I sure could get a lot done today around the house!" But, I got up anyway and did my usual morning routine, made my coffee and such and left the house.

But.... AS I pulled out onto the shared driveway, I was waved down by my next door neighbor and we met for the very first time. We introduced ourselves to each other and chatted away for about an half hour. Nice lady.

LOL, I ended up not getting to work til abot 9:30 (about an 1-1/2 hours late). I should of just called out and stayed home...Oh well! I'll just work thru my lunch and stay late to make it up.

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

The septic system is working like a champ now. One of our toilets is dripping constantly, and he said that's the whole problem. To me, it doesn't sound like it's running enough to fill the tank, but I guess 24 hours a day makes it enough. I'm going to replace the flapper valve and fill mechanism this weekend. Hopefully, we won't have this trouble again.

It's supposed to be 98°F today. I don't know what the "feels like" temperature will be, but I'm glad I have a desk in an office! I think the pool needs more cleaning this afternoon!

Get this, I'm a Plumbing/ Fire protection Engineer and my wife is a Teacher. I found out that my next door neighbor is a Civil Engineer and his wife is a substitute Teacher. What a coincidence, huh!

It was nice meeting them. Gosh, we just met and they already invited us to go out on their boat with them. Apparently they keep it on the Connecticut River. How nice was that of them to do so!

You know what, it's hard to believe, but a leaking toilet flapper, can add as much as 100-300 gallons per day of water to your septic system; of course, depending upon the severity of the leak determines more water useage.

I have a well and septic system myself too. I had both of them "bigtime" inspected, before I bought the place. It can be a monumental expense to have to replace a septic tank and re-do a clogged up leech field; man I just dread that thought.

It is only eight weeks...Not even in the same ballpark as New Year's Day to Memorial Day's 21 weeks....
