3.5 hours! Yikes!! I guess caffeine is your friend!! I did bring a Mt. Dew back with me after lunch. I wanted a Pepsi but didn't have any cold!

Sounds like your family is all having a great time!! :)

Lucy is good. I did put some ear cleaner/drying solution in here ears this morning. She's been really scratching at them & they are red. Not sure if it's from her dunking her head in the pool water constantly, or maybe the groomer pulled some hair out last week & they got irritated...or maybe a combo of both! Hopefully she gets over it quick!

We got Lucy some new dog food ~ switching her from puppy food. I think she likes it!! :p

I hope Miss Lucy feels better very soon {{{hugs}}}

Merry Pines Day MMC ~
It's going to be sunny and warm today with highs near 87 degrees. Not too much going on here, I’m just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. I already straightened up the house and started laundry. I’m going to get started on breakfast soon. I plan on making a Target run today and I’m going to stop at HomeGoods as well. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!
xx

It's the middle of the week! Cleaned out some of the garage yesterday. Looks like we might have to hire a skip to get rid of some of the big stuff. The compost bin is set up so now we can get to making our own compost for the garden.

Looks like today will be a little cooler than yesterday, so I'm glad for that. I had a quick peek at the new ornaments from Hallmark this year. There are so many I love. I may get the Santa on the polar bear.

Quick question, because I'm a noob. What is Pines day? Is there a thread I can read to get me up to speed? I've seen a few members talk about it, but can't find the origin. Thanks for all your help.

Good Morning, Christmas Creatures!

And we are creatures of habit when it comes to carrying the Christmas torch year round, while others "hide their light" until some time in Novermber or later.
In that regard, it is our duty to always be aware of Christmas and the proximity of the pending Christmas Season.
Therefore:
Days to the Season: 118
Days to Christmas Day: 160

And as far as Milestone status is concerned, be informed that the 100-Day Season marker, and the beginning of a double-digit Season count, is now only 18 days away. Barely over 2 1/2 weeks off!
(Now, how's that for proximity?)

Warm and humid again yesterday with an evening rainstorm that brought some needed moisture. There were a few severe thunderstorm warnings out for some central NC counties, but not ours.
Today shows only a 20 percent chance of rain with a high of 90.
We currently perceive 73 degrees on our thermometer.

Well, another 'Pines open house has cycled around again.
(Wow! The weeks are passing so quickly.)
Carl promises a pool party to beat the heat and no doubt fired twinkies and Carl's famous iced tea will be served poolside.
Hope to see you all there!

In the interim, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, OK?

Here's the TV interview Elizabeth was in on a Savannah TV station. So proud of her!!

What a beautiful sight to see!!

Hello!! Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday afternoon! I visited my favorite Farmers Market yesterday and got some beautiful green beans, onions, and cucumbers and then some fresh sweet corn from a road side stand. I wait all year for this farmers market to open, which is in mid-July each year until usually November. I can't wait to go there in the fall and see the rows of pumpkins, bushels of apples, and pots of beautiful mums. I take pictures every year of all of those awesome colors! Since it is CIJ we are having turkey (that I had previously roasted and froze) as well as homemade stuffing and cranberry sauce tonight. It smells like the holidays in here! I am loving it! Hope everyone is having a great day!
That sounds so good...enjoy your CIJ dinner!

Happy Pines Day MMC! We had some thunderstorms yesterday and that knocked some of the humidity out thankfully. Should be a nice day out there today. Just found out yesterday my brother got engaged. Not surprising as he's been with his girlfriend for about 5 years now. Have a great day!
Congrats to your brother!

Happy Pines Day!! We had some good storms last night and it cleared out that humidity. Typical work day for me and both my girls have plans for swimming today with friends. Tonight I am making BBQ ribs for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning MMC!!! Merry Pines Day!! It's supposed to be a beautiful day here with a high of 80º! I have the convertible today & I actually had to put the windows up on my way to work cuz I was chilly willy!! The windows will be down by lunch time, I'm sure! ;)

Not much up for today besides work! I'm ok with that. Lots of laundry to catch up on! I got to meet my new 2 week old great nephew Eli last night! OMWord he is adorable!!! ♥ Little peanut! Tons of hair. Looks just like his daddy! (Poor guy...ha ha!!) :p

Everyone, have a great day!

Oh - and my phone rang at 7am this morning, it was a call from Moms house. I thought "oh no, mom fell!!" That wasn't it at all, it was moms Amish lady: "This is Mandy, would you like me to bake you a pie today?" :D:D:D She also said she had already made a batch of fresh salsa this morning, but she needed a bell pepper. So I dropped one off on my way to work & I got to try the salsa - absolutely delish! :) And the pies were in the oven...smelled so good in there! :) That's not a bad way to start the day!

LOL!!! I only noticed it a little! :p Funny how we all have a different accent. Our friends in Pittsburg have one & they say we have one! ;)

They really need to stop showing this Chocolates. This early in the morning will be tough for me to not buy something for CIJ
