Really have no need for this. However it looks like it would be a good talking piece added to a shelf and it would get people asking questions.

Three Kings Regal Music Box with the Original Gifts of ChristmasThis intricately crafted, satin-lined chest is a fitting way to display the original gifts of Christmas and bring to life that first Christmas in Bethlehem more than 2000 years ago. Real 23k gold flakes float suspended in a glass globe, and the pure and authentic frankincense and myrrh come from the same regions as the gifts brought by Balthazar and Caspar. Along with the traditional Christmas melodies this chest plays, the most appealing aspect of this particular music box is that it introduces people to something that's always been familiar but never concretely understood. Give it as a gift to yourself or a loved one, and add meaning to their joy this year. What You Get
  • Three Kings music box
  • Glass globe with 23k gold flakes
  • Pouch of myrrh
  • Pouch of frankincense
  • Certificate of authenticity
  • 3 Button cell (AG10) batteries, installed
That is really unique!! A very lovely conversation piece.

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

It's been a busy week, and it's only going to get busier. Elizabeth's play starts tomorrow night for four nights, and I'm ready to see her on stage again!

We also got notification from the University that Jacob made the Dean's List again! We're so proud of the way he's taken his education so seriously, and still manages to have a good time!

Our company allows us work anniversary gifts every 5 years, and this year I got a 65" TV LOL. It's HUGE! I put it in the living room yesterday, and Nancy says it's too big. No way! It's staying!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
congrats to all the wonderful things happening in your family !

-santa-It did rain my way yesterday when I made chocolate chip banana bread and cherry strudel. It takes a lot of work pitting the cherries with a pear knife. It was a nice time though, alone in the kitchen with me and my thoughts.
I discovered that putting on rubber gloves and just gently squeezing the cherries is a much faster way to remove the pits ....just make sure to aim them away from your face !

Merry Pines Day MMC ~
It's going to be sunny and warm today with highs near 87 degrees. Not too much going on here, I’m just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. I already straightened up the house and started laundry. I’m going to get started on breakfast soon. I plan on making a Target run today and I’m going to stop at HomeGoods as well. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!
xx
I hope you & Rocky have a great day today!!

Good Wednesday morning! I had a rough day yesterday, which started with me forgetting my work keys at home. Thank goodness I only live about 10 minutes away. Then I felt a lot of frustration because all day I was asked to do things all over the store but when it came time to do my own work, our system was incredibly slow and I wound up having to go to another store and ended up working 2 hours extra to get things done. I can rest a bit this morning as I'm working the afternoon/evening shift. I'm currently enjoying a cool breeze flowing through the appartment as the high humidity has dropped. And I'm enjoying some toast with the strawberry jam we made this weekend, one of my favourite things about Summer. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!
Sorry to hear that you had a challenging day yesterday, Martine.
It sounds like you handled it like a champ~
Hope that today is much better!! :)
Enjoy the fresh air, and strawberry jam. Yum-homemade jam is amazing.
Have a wonderful Pines Day!!

It's the middle of the week! Cleaned out some of the garage yesterday. Looks like we might have to hire a skip to get rid of some of the big stuff. The compost bin is set up so now we can get to making our own compost for the garden.

Looks like today will be a little cooler than yesterday, so I'm glad for that. I had a quick peek at the new ornaments from Hallmark this year. There are so many I love. I may get the Santa on the polar bear.

Quick question, because I'm a noob. What is Pines day? Is there a thread I can read to get me up to speed? I've seen a few members talk about it, but can't find the origin. Thanks for all your help.
Have a good Pines day! :)

Good morning MMC !

it got nice and cool last night making it great for sleeping.

Wanted to share some pictures but my computer is refusing to load them from my camera card. If I can figure it out I will share them later.

Still waiting to pick up my daughters car, getting kind of frustrating with all the delays. But I guess better to have it all done now than have it back in the shop again in a few months. (I am not very good at waiting )

Hope you all have a great day !!

Good Morning, Christmas Creatures!

And we are creatures of habit when it comes to carrying the Christmas torch year round, while others "hide their light" until some time in Novermber or later.
In that regard, it is our duty to always be aware of Christmas and the proximity of the pending Christmas Season.
Therefore:
Days to the Season: 118
Days to Christmas Day: 160

And as far as Milestone status is concerned, be informed that the 100-Day Season marker, and the beginning of a double-digit Season count, is now only 18 days away. Barely over 2 1/2 weeks off!
(Now, how's that for proximity?)

Warm and humid again yesterday with an evening rainstorm that brought some needed moisture. There were a few severe thunderstorm warnings out for some central NC counties, but not ours.
Today shows only a 20 percent chance of rain with a high of 90.
We currently perceive 73 degrees on our thermometer.

Well, another 'Pines open house has cycled around again.
(Wow! The weeks are passing so quickly.)
Carl promises a pool party to beat the heat and no doubt fired twinkies and Carl's famous iced tea will be served poolside.
Hope to see you all there!

In the interim, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, OK?
See you tonight!

Happy Pines Day!! We had some good storms last night and it cleared out that humidity. Typical work day for me and both my girls have plans for swimming today with friends. Tonight I am making BBQ ribs for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!
BBQ ribs sound great! Have a good day SFM!

Hope everyone has a great Pines, Day!!!

I think I may head back to Hobby Lobby to see if they are done setting up the rest of the trees and have them plugged in.
Let us know what you find!! Have a good day made!

Hello All!

Well, the Little League Football team has all of its equipment. Things went smoothly and all of my players actually showed up. It is always nice (and sometimes quite interesting) to see all of the kids with parents outside of practice.

Nathan's room is pretty much packed up now. He has his clothes and stuff he needs for the rest of the week and what he needs to pack for Basic Training still out; but everything else is in bins so he can get them later. It took him most of the day yesterday to get it done, but it is done.

Everyone have a great Pines Day!
What day does Nathan leave?
Glad to hear the football meeting went well!
Have a good day ITP!

The rain did make a difference in the pollen in my area as well. The last 3 weeks, the pollen count has been really high and effect the allergy sufferers. I am grateful for my allergy tea and hope to see some relief in the near future. Now that the weather is turning, Christmas season is getting closer.
I had to pit way too many cherries when I was a young girl - I don't do them no more!!! ;) Everything sounds good! Have a great day!

Cleaning out the garage can be an undertaking. Good for you!

Enjoy the cooler weather today~

I agree, there are some really neat ornaments again this year!! Decisions, decisions.

I see Made helped you out with the link...
So, hope you have a Merry Pines Day!!
