Good Morning, Christmas Creatures!

And we are creatures of habit when it comes to carrying the Christmas torch year round, while others "hide their light" until some time in Novermber or later.
In that regard, it is our duty to always be aware of Christmas and the proximity of the pending Christmas Season.
Therefore:
Days to the Season: 118
Days to Christmas Day: 160

And as far as Milestone status is concerned, be informed that the 100-Day Season marker, and the beginning of a double-digit Season count, is now only 18 days away. Barely over 2 1/2 weeks off!
(Now, how's that for proximity?)

Warm and humid again yesterday with an evening rainstorm that brought some needed moisture. There were a few severe thunderstorm warnings out for some central NC counties, but not ours.
Today shows only a 20 percent chance of rain with a high of 90.
We currently perceive 73 degrees on our thermometer.

Well, another 'Pines open house has cycled around again.
(Wow! The weeks are passing so quickly.)
Carl promises a pool party to beat the heat and no doubt fired twinkies and Carl's famous iced tea will be served poolside.
Hope to see you all there!

In the interim, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, OK?
Thanks Crown! Happy Pines Day!

She also brought a case of tomatoes, which is what she made the salsa out of. She said next week she will bring more tomatoes & make BIG batch so all of us can take some home!! YUM-O! ♥

Thanks a bunch! I will give them to the girls at lunch <3

When I got home for lunch, you would have thought I was gone for a week. Lu was so funny! ♥ And of course she wanted to go for a ride....sorry Lu!

Good Morning, MMC~

Merry Pines Day!!

Hope your day is going well!

Harlowe & Jazzie had fun patrolling the deck last night. They like to watch the people/dogs walking by on the path behind us. So ferocious =]

It was such a nice morning here, 50's and sunshine. Felt Autumnal! Only 45 days until the 'Bers. Can't wait to decorate!!

Adrian comes home this evening, the girls and I will be happy to have him back. He had a great time with his Dad, and our nephew Reid at the game.

A quiet morning here, but my work afternoon will be busy.

Wishing you all a fantastic afternoon!! See you tonight!

So cute!! I bet they scare off all the bad guys! ;)

Safe travels to Adrian! I'm sure you'll all be glad to
have him home! I'm glad he had a great time!

Can't believe it's only 45 days until the Bers! Though I love that time of year, I'm just not ready yet! Especially since it's such a beautiful day today! :)

I hope your busy afternoon at work goes well & quick! Have a great afternoon/evening!

Good Morning, Brad!!

Enjoy Elizabeth's play!!

Congratulations to Jacob, that's wonderful!!

And to you!! Wow, that tv must look amazing. Just think of how great that all of the sci-fi shows, scary movies, and Christmas movies will look on a big screen :D
I've already watched a Star Trek movie and several episodes of Star Trek on it.

What day does Nathan leave?
Glad to hear the football meeting went well!
Have a good day ITP!

We take Nathan to the recruiter on Monday the 23rd. We will say our goodbyes then. The recruiter will bus him to Columbus and he will stay overnight there. On Tuesday the 24, in the morning, he will meet with the "counselor" at MEPS (in processing center) to go over everything. One important part is he gets promoted to E2 because of some college credits from high school. He will swear-in again and then they will take him to the airport and he will fly to South Carolina and then be bused to Fort Jackson.

He has 9 weeks for Basic, then 13 weeks at Fort Lee (Virginia) for AIT. He will get to come home for Christmas during that 13 weeks. Then he goes to Airborne school for 2.5 weeks at Ft. Benning and then RAPS (Ranger school) for 9 weeks. Then finally to his station with the Ranger regiment.

Wow! What an adventure he will be on! Be sure to tell him Holiday at MMC Thanks him for his service & wishes him all the best!
I have our friends son's picture who just left for the Marines (his name is also Nathan) hanging on our fridge so I remember every day to say a prayer for him & keep him & his family in our thoughts. I'll do the same for your Nathan whenever I look at the pic!

They sure try their darndest!! ;)

Thank you, I appreciate that!

I would love a true calendar length Autumn! A girl can dream :D
I am enjoying summer- when it's not unbearable, unfortunately it's either been to hot/humid, or raining/storms most weekends. We've been inside more than we want to be, that's for sure.

Thanks, it has been going well. Hope you have a nice rest of your afternoon!!
