Logan's series.
We make our annual journey to Logan Trading Co. early each December to eat lunch at the Seaboard Cafe and buy a poinsettia. There are always nice Christmas-related photo opportunities!
1) Outside. Logan's is an old converted railroad station.
5) and 6) If you can't find a poinsettia at Logan's, you are too picky!
What you see here is just a small selection of their stock.
7) Logan's sells Christmas trees too, of course. We used to get ours there but they became too expensive. The ones you see in the photo were over $200. A typical 7 footer was $80.
(Our local grocery store had nice frazier fir 7 footers for $29.95!)
What a treat! Was out at Crabtree mall this afternoon and there was a live entertainer singing Christmas standards, alternating with playing the clarinet.
Really put me in the Christmas mood. I stood and watched for several songs.
This is also new for 2017.
(Crabtree is really into the spirit this year!)
4) Ah! My mania for decorated railings is satisfied with this attractive display.
(Would have preferred black railings, but still.....)
5) North Hills' outdoor mall tree.
(I prefer Crabtree's. This one isn't decorated except for lights but it's still quite impressive at night.)
Well, that cleans out my stock for this year except for my traditional annual shot of Crabtree's outdoor tree taken at night, which reminds me I have to get out there one evening soon to do that!
Any other shots out there, anyone? It's not too late, you know!
Well, we close out as usual with Crabtree's main outdoor Christmas tree at night.
Thanks to everyone for your contributions this year. Already looking forward to Christmas Blossoms 2018!
