Well, the action has started at Crabtree Valley!

1) Framework laid out for pending of ornamentation.

2) and 3)
Greenery and other ornaments await ceiling installation.

4) Skeleton for the center court giant tree is completed. I took this when I started my daily walk this afternoon and by the time I finished, they had already started attaching the branches! It should be completed by tomorrow.

5) More ornamentation awaiting their turn.

6) Most of the hanging ceiling garlands are already in place, but not yet lit.

Continuing at Crabtree:

1) Christmas banners hanging from the mall's indoor lamp posts herald the Season.

2) Meanwhile, the outdoor lamp posts feed my passion for holiday decorated iron posts and railings!

3) The mall's main indoor tree, lit and festively adorned.
(The worker on the crane had just added the final top section!)

A couple of nicely decorated storefronts beckon would-be shoppers.

My family took me to my favorite restaurant for my birthday (Cracker Barrel) and I snapped this pair of photos in their small Christmas section.

8) Meanwhile, back at Belks, two festively adorned manikins stand as sentries near a decorated tree on the upper level.

9) Christmas porcelain is out on display marked off 50 percent.

The holidays are now running in top gear at Crabtree with most of the decorations now in place and lit.

1) The hanging ceiling garlands are now illuminated, signalling the mall has fully entered the holiday season!

2) One example of the greenery decorating many of the vertical pillars.

3) And can it be? Has construction on Santa's Village now commenced??
Yes, it has!

4) One set of dual trees on the lower level. They are located at both the north and south ends of the mall.

5) And Crabtree's main 40 foot tree in all of its glory!

Couldn't resist snapping this transition shot. Interesting that they put the top on with the middle section still incomplete!

Took this one at the Christmas tree display at the NC State Fair.
North Carolina is the second biggest producers of Christmas trees. (Oregon is number one.)

3) Main outdoor tree is up. Not quite as impressive as last year's but still nice.

He arrived two days ago.
