Things are moving right along at Crabtree. Those giant gift boxes have now all been suspended from the ceiling and greenery has been added to the wing hallways.
Still waiting for the centerpiece - the giant tree for center court!

The city workers are out putting up the Christmas decorations on the utility poles today! One crew lays them by the poles and the other comes behind and hangs them.

Each time I walk at Crabtree, something new has been added to the decorations!

1) After harvesting the garland crop last week, a bumper wreath crop has sprung up quickly and is ready for picking by the mall employees!

2) and 3) Rail greenery all in place.

4) A leafy reindeer is a returning visitor from the mall's prior holiday theme of a few years ago.

5) Altar'd State always has a nice storefront window display every year although I liked last year's better.

Very nice Crown. I love it when a mall is decorated. The Crabtree mall is a very nice mall. They're becoming more rare these days.

While in the local Target I overheard a woman whining about how it was too early for Christmas stuff. Since I had just walked in I was looking forward to seeing some Christmas goodies. Well I don't know what she was whining about because they had barely any Christmas stuff up at all. Just one shelf of some lights. What a let down.

I did see the usual fall/winter food stuffs. Apple, Pumpkin and/or mint flavored this or that.

When traveling to and from the coast, we always make it a point to stop at the Neuse Sport Shop, where there is always a nice Christmas section every year.
