We are but 2 weeks and 2 days away from the next milestone, the 100-day window. And once we reach that point, we will only be 9 days away from the 3/4 mark. WOW!

A humid and getting-hot 80 degrees outside in Raleigh at this hour.
Nineties predicted for this afternoon, then near 100 by Tuesday. Our typical summertime pattern.
And if that isn't enough, our coast is being menaced by Tropical Storm Cristobal. At least it is supposed to remain offshore and not reach hurricane status.

Rest up to start moving another week closer to our fantastic Christmas Season!

We avoided most of Cristobal which just brushed the coast. No rain from it in Raleigh at all.
Currently we stand at 78 degrees.
Upper 90's for highs predicted for today and tomorrow.

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Planning my daughter's wedding, getting back-to-school things, and preparing to start my new job have taken my time away from here. I hope everyone is doing great.

It is suppose to be another hot and humid day here today. I am so ready for fall.

Good Monday morning! Hope you all had a great weekend! It was a hot one here! I was glad to be at a pool on Saturday & thankful for shade trees on Sunday! Lol! The weekend went too darn fast again! But here we are....it's CHRISTMAS IN JULY WEEK!!!

My friend Teresa & I are getting together Wed. night to listen to Christmas music, decorate our place at the lake, & hopefully watch a Christmas movie! I can't wait, but I'm sort of dreading dragging all that stuff down from the attic! Ah well...it will be FUN!! We all (all neighbors) are supposed to bring a covered dish to the CIJ party that starts with the 1st letter of your last name...so I have to bring something that starts with W. I'm thinking about bringing Whiskey Slush...that's considered a "covered dish" right? :lol:
