Holiday, are you getting this 'surprise' storm? OMG, it hit us really hard...total blizzard conditions, freezing rain mix...many are losing power.

So far we have had nothing but rain, rain, rain! I don't want any of that freezing rain! UGH! They are saying tonight is supposed to be snow (was supposed to start around 6, but nothing yet) but I have a feeling the change from rain to snow is going to be some of that icky stuff! Hang in there...I hope you don't lose power!

Tennessee is a mess, isn't it? Did any of you see pictures of that? How devastating! I hope noone here had to go through that! I'm keeping them all in my prayers. How awful!

Right now we are havng an ice storm here, We have at least an inch of ice all over & now they are still calling for snow tonight. So that will be covering all the ice. The rush hour in the am will be death trap.

Right now it is 30º & SNOWING!!! :smile:

My hubby went out to our place at the lake tonight & he said if the lake comes up 2 more inches, the water is going to be on our patio! That has never happened in 9 years, & we've had A LOT of water out there before! YIKES!

me I need a referral from a veteran patron, I mentioned your
name and they immediately made the reservation. Can't wait
to hear those old familiar "Dusty" songs.

Just saw on tv that the Midwest is under a snowstorm seige
and Wisconsin hit very hard. Sounds like Ohio and New York
are seeing the ice and snow too. What is the weather coming
to especially after the South just got hit so hard yesterday
with those devastating tornadoes?

Fifty-five degrees for my morning commute today.
Wild weather yesterday. The midwestern system was predicted to come our way at reduced vigor and for once they were right.
We had some moderate winds and light rain.
It's supposed to be nice through Saturday, then winter weater is predicted to return.

It's trying to spit snow this morning, but it's so fine you can't hardly see it! Lots of roads closed in the area now due to flooding. Hopefully the lakes & rivers are starting to back down now!

YIKES! That's tough to do & you've got a long way to go yet! Good luck to ya!! I don't think anyone would want to be around me if I gave up all that stuff! Is that the reason you are off work Monday & Tuesday? Did your co-workers ask you to take some time off?? JUST KIDDING!!! :lol:

HAPPY HAPPY, FRIDAY!!! Anybody have any big weekend plans? Tonight a friend & I are going "shopping" for bowling bash stuff & either tomorrow or Sunday we are going shopping w/ another couple for clothes for the cruise. It's a shopping kind of weekend around here I guess. I'm just so darn happy it's FRIDAY!!!

I can't belive we are getting so close to the 25% mark! Before we know it we'll be going CHRISTMAS shopping!!

Yes, we are moving right along to that all important 25% marker coming up just next week! Wow!

Colder weather is back after our warm respite. It was 36 on my thermometer this morning with just a touch of frost on the car.
However, 60's for highs are predicted for both today and tomorrow - so outdoors, here I come!

I've heard a rumor (unsubstantiated, of course) that they live in a house carved out of a single, giant coffee bean.
It's supposedly, quite a tourist draw in the SE Virginia area, I hear.
