:hello: Hi Annette, I've been so busy at work, most of it on the computer so by the time I get home, my eyes and brain are tired.

One of the toys O'Malley still plays with is the spinner with the ball inside. He'll leave it alone for days at a time and then go nuts with it. That's what I picked up for Jazzman.

I got his buddy Ringo some LUVS treats for Easter. Not sure what O'Malley will get yet. He already has his bunny receiving blanket out on the guest bed. I looked for a large soft stuffed sheep puppet, but all I could find were stuffed toys without holes. He has a puppet fetish so I'll guess I can wander downtown tomorrow and look at Creative Learning (children's store) for something he'd like to cuddle with.

My parents are doing good. My mom and I went out for lunch last Sunday and had a good chat. She can recall heaps of stuff from the past and then all of a sudden the foggy memories kick in again. Thanks for asking.

And I think my parents got their kittens name from O'Malley the cat's other name choice JazzPurr that I sometimes refer to him as because he really enjoys the sound of jazz music.

I'll try and snap a picture of him, he's only four months old. I can hardly remember O'Malley being that small.

Enjoy your Sunday, everyone!

Good to see ya AMD...would love to see a pic of the kitten. And good morning to everyone. Sunday here and chilly out. May get some rain/snow later today. Got my corned beef thawing out and plan to put it into the crockpot tomorrow. Had a wonderful and busy weekend here. Went and seen my new little nephew. And daughter and I went to the hot springs with my other brothers family friday night. Had a good time and nice dinner together too. My oldest brother who lives about 30 min. East of me also came to stay the weekend with me. Larissa and I also attened my cousin's little ones 1 yr. Birthday party. We had a good time. That little girl was digging into her cake like there was no tomorrow...*L* It was alot of fun watching her. She had cake and frosting from head to toe, up in her nostrils...*L* Anyhow it was busy and non stop for us this weekend but we enjoyed it all. Liked to say I plan to rest today but I'm not I am heading to work here shortly. Have a Super Sunday.

...it looks like the next big marker will be the 1/3 to Christmas which would be I believe 6 weeks from today?....
Per page 1/first post of this thread, calculations to Christmas Day are easy - just add 42 days to any Season marker to get the equivalent Day marker.
(Again, since this is leap year, and owing to rounding off, there could be a 1-day difference on a couple of the remaining percentage markers for this year only. I did not feel like re-calculating everything to see how the extra day and rounding would affect the chart. I'll leave that to some enterprising mathmatician here.
Next year, everything will be back to precision again, anyway)

Days to the Season: 242
Days to Christmas Day 284

The sun has returned! We stand at 55 in Raleigh at this hour.
Looks like the weather service has promised us a good day.

Have a Super Sunday, friends.
Rest up for the start of yet another week in our journey.
(On the right mattress, of course!)

Hello Christmas pals! It has been a long weekend here. Got a phone call yesterday morning that 4 local boys were killed in a car accident. One of the 4 being our good friends (& my co-workers) son. So sad. This is a small, tight knit community so of course we know all 4 boys, & their families, as well as the 2 boys in the other car who ran a stop sign & T-boned them. The 4 who were killed all graduated last year & were home from college for the weekend, so they are 18, or 19 years old & the 2 boys in the other car were 22. The 2 boys in the other car were uninjured. What a tragic, horrible accident. All 4 boys were such nice, fun, just good guys! The whole group of guys they run around with are just good guys! Makes ya ask "Why? What good came out of that?"

Sorry to be such a downer today! Hope you are all having a great weekend! Yesterday was our 11 year wedding anniversary ~ the day sure didn't go as planned! But it sure was nice to have my hubby around to get through the day (and the next week) together! I just hate that our anniversary is always going to be a reminder of Jordan's death. :(

Alright...again...sorry to be a downer. I came here thinking this website always cheers me up (and it does thanks to you guys) but here I am, bringing ya'll down! You guys all take care & hug your loved ones before they walk out the door!

I'm so sorry to hear your news - it's always a tragedy when something senseless like this happens. Please pass our condolences onto your friends.

Please don't let this reflect on your anniversaries with your husband. This is an awful tragedy but what you have together must be celebrated and be eternally thankful that you have each other and the life you have made together. That is something to treasure.

Be joyful that this young man lived and don't spend too long on "what if's" and "if only's"

:tree:

Holiday..I am so sorry to hear this. I will keep the boys families in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time for all. I also want to wish you a Happy Belated Anniversary.

Thanks guys! It'll be a tough week, but we'll get through it. And then it's going to be a long, tough spring & summer for our friends. We have to remember to stop over there a lot b/c after all the visitors, services, & people bringing food stops, it's going to get very hard for them! All the 1st's....UGH!

Thanks for the Anniversary wishes!

I made green friendship bread...you bring the green coffee! YUMMY! (we'll have some nice lookin St. Patty's Day green teeth to match...how festive!) :hello:

Morning all!

Happy st paddys day everyone! Hope you all had a glorious weekend! Mine was spent decorating (again!); but we now have light at the end of the tunnel! We have now painted every single room in the house, and it looks fantastic! Even managed to get a couple of coats of woodstain on the stairs, so that looks lovely now too! Have the carpenter starting this morning, fitting nice oak flooring (the real solid stuff, not laminate), new doors through the entire house, new skirting and new door surrounds, I think he is also tiling our kitchen floor for us too! I am so pleased that I dont need to paint any more celings or walls! I feel like I have run a marathon or something I'm aching so much, but its all good as its now done!! YAY!!

Anyway, so we've hit the 1/3 marker now eh? Thats brilliant!! Only a 4 day week in the office this week, as its Easter next weekend and I'm off to Edinburgh for the weekend which should be good!

Hope you all have a great Monday...

Scoobie

Monday. M-o-n-d-a-y. Altogether now: "Monday!"
Make you feel happier? No?
Well, let's put "Marvelous" in front of it: "Have a Marvelous Monday!".
Still don't feel great?
Well, there's nothing else left but to just say we are another day closer to our Christmas Seeason!
Ah! That did it! (Or did it??)

Chilly this morning with the temp in the upper 30's just to remind us it is technically still winter.
Sunny, though, and I can hear the birds singing, even through the heavy, sealed windows of my office.

Aye, it is St. Patrick's day me buddies!
And I am a-wearin' the green, I am.

Have a great one, guys!

Green coffee?? Hmmm.......

Um, no. I don't think even Binger would drink that!

Sorry to hear about the tragic loss for you and your community, Holiday. A similar accident happened here four years ago and it was tough, especially on the teens who were close to the ones who were killed. One lad got really upset when the media showed up to take pictures outside the church. He wrote a letter to the editor about it. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Hi Annette, I don't have a picture of Jazzman yet, but here's a banner I made of O'Malley with his buddy Ringo (they have play dates together), here they were playing hide and seek.

That's my stalking wild O'Malley on the left and skinny Ringo on the right.

Some beauty expert says that you should be able to eat the cleanser you use on your face...So, for the next day or so I'll be out shopping for the new face soap/dessert topping...Now the one you've posted is made by Lauren Hutton? Shouldn't the label have a big space in the front? I guess you can eat/drink the green coffee stuff if you really wanted too...I'll stick to my good old long roasted Mahogany Rum, A.K.A. Black Gold, Texas Tea, Java...Go-go juice...Nectar of the God's...Oh no...I've been taken over by Binger...Invasion of the body snatchers...Next thing you know, I won't know what sex I am, I'll be making fun of Crown's mattress and writing operas! Speaking of which..."The curtain opens revealing an empty stage except for a small box of Chocolate bunnies and some peeps..."
