Hey Dom I so agree- Thank you honest Abe and George... thank god you got us a day off...

YABBA....

I also like Holidays on Monday. Makes the work week go faster. Partly cloudy day here and about 35 out. Feels like it's in the 20's with this darn wind. Just had my coffee and a little breakfast and now doing a little posting here. I hope everyone has a good day!

Hey wake up there Crown.... number 500- thank all the little people..... thank Cedar and Jay and Auntie and Scoobie and Iron and Maureen and Frank Purdue.....
......and Sealy.

look at that...500 posts at our "new" home...I get the feeling this may be a permanent one too!

We're blessed folks...To have each other...To have a cyber home...To have the spirit...It don't get no better 'n this!

I'll see you and raise you one gallon of the finest Starbucks AND a plaid footstool...........

If I drink a gallon of Starbucks, I sure won't have any need for the footstool...Cause I'll be racing around the yard! Who am I kidding...I drink that much everyday anyway...My brother used to say..."Ya wanna know how much coffee Jay drinks? Drink coffee till your heart explodes, and Jay drinks one cup less than that..." He's a real jokester that bro of mine...

:hello: We weren't celebrating President's Day here in Canada, however three provinces enjoyed a new paid holiday called Family Day.

O'Malley the cat had a play-date with his buddy Ringo, lasted about forty minutes. That's the longest visit so far I think. I've only seen them together a few times, my husband usually borrows Ringo in the morning when I'm at work.

Today was a treat watching O'Malley shadow his little buddy around. I couldn't believe the tolerance he displayed while little Ringo explored O'Malley's lair and dry kibble.

When he headed for the litter box, I said, "nope, better not try that". We used the rest of O'Malley's litter to help the elderly lady across the road get from her daughter's car to her front door - she needed it for traction - we had buckets of rain and then of course the wind gusts picked up and everything started to freeze.

Today was dull and windy, but no more rain. Hopefully it will be okay tomorrow, but the temp. is expected to drop overnight. If it all freezes we're in trouble, if not - well it'll be messy, but we'll be able to navigate with some ease.

Here that Cedar? The creek is running again. Still have a towering snowbank at the end of the road and snow everywhere, but the rain reduced it a bit.

:tree: When the wind was howling I thought for sure I heard the shispering pines calling, "Jayyyyyyyyyyyyyish". Weird wild wind.

:)) Glad to hear you got moved in, Scoobie. Can you picture your new place all decked out for Christmas yet?

Wasn't that old song called "They Called the Wind Mariah"? Wait...Maybe it WAS "They Called the Wind JayIsh"!!! Yeah, that's the ticket...

Either that or it was hurricane Jay...Hitting bakeries through out New Jersey...

Yeah, and it will look fantastic! I can get an even bigger tree this year, as I have an enormous space for one... we usually have a 6-7ft tree, this year I'm thinking maybe 10ft?? :-)

Anyhoo, nice crisp sunny day here in SE England... still now snow though! Today also happens to be my birthday, so I am going to take it easy at work... or at least try to!! Edging closer to 30 now... on one hand I want time to slow down so I dont get old too fast, and on the other hand I want time to speed up so the Christmas season gets here fast!!

Have a fab Tuesday everyone!

Scoobie x

(Sorry, couldn't resist one more "W")

Days to the Season: 267
Days to Christmas Day 309
Single digits to the 300-day Christmas Day mark.

The temp was just below freezing when I left my condo this morning. Was glad I put a sheet over the Crown Vic's windshield as there was frost everywhere.
On the up side, we are supposed to hit the low to mid 60's for a high this afternoon - continued nice for February.
Then colder weather, however.

Our drought continues and the officials are discussing moving from "stage 2" to stage 3" water restrictions. There has also been a proposal to implement "stage 4" restrictions. What is interesting is that there is no "stage 4". We have never been at that point before and what that constitutes has yet to be written!
(Do you get the feeling that it's pretty dry around here?)

Have a good one!
