Morning all,

Well, the carpenter has made a great start to the new flooring and it looks fantastic The living room should be finished today, so we can get all the furniture back in, ready for my mum and dad to come over tonight for dinner as it's my mums birthday. One room done, 3 to go!

Good Morning to one and all.

The weather service promised faithfully no rain today so I drove the Crown V. (It's my fair weather car. I use the Cutlass when it's wet or icy). Anyhow, now it's rapidly clouding over and looks like some precip may be in the offing.
At least it's supposed to reach the 60's today.

At first I thought you were going to make a wax statue of me so I wouldn't have any lines to rehearse or notes to sing in the upcoming Opera.

I promise to sing as off-key as everyone else and wake all the guest at the Shispering Pines Motel, I'll even sing you a lullabye - unless of course Binger has another role in mind. I am a character actress - I can play many parts.

Wax poetic - Crown you're givin' your age away again.......

As I move into my mid 50's with the old joints starting to get more creaky, I wish I could give some of my age away!
Actually, I feel lucky - I've never had any serious health problems. In fact, my only "claim to fame" is that I've never had to take a sick day in 34 years of working. (It's all that sleep, I guess)
Oh, and I would be happy to erect a statue to our fine resident bard. Only, let's make it out of something more substantial than wax!

Fifty-Five for the morning commute with rain predicted.
The drought has moderated a bit but our local officials want to keep restrictions on "until the lakes are 90% full". They stand at 75% right now.
