To me, they either scream, wail or both.
I also generally only play the oldies (and I mean REAL oldies, like Glenn Miller and Artie Shaw)

and wailing always keeps you awake.. right?
Lord, yes.
I would rather drink a gallon of coffee than sit through a rock concert at full volume.

Ya, Love Glen Miller. I miss all the oldies and goodies, and I agree with you crown on the Rock music. Makes ones hair stand on ends but leave the coffee to me please.

I love most kinds of music...Oldies, classic rock, pop, country, easy listening, new age...I just can get my brain around hip-hop and rap...I think it's because I don't understand it though...It's what's driving the record business now...They are the big selling albums...While I love a good orchestra as much as anything, there is nothing like standing in an arena and seeing Bruce Springsteen sing "Born to Run"...I just love all of it...I've said it before...One weekend in the eighties I saw Judas Priest on Friday night and Pavarotti on Sunday night...Pavarotti was much better...

......but leave the coffee to me please.
OK. But you'll have to fight Binger for it.

Good Morning, friends.

Days to the Season: 162
Days to Christmas Day: 204
My, My! Look how close to the 200-Day mark!
Time's a flyin'!

A beautiful, sunny 76 degrees outside here in Raleigh at this hour.
I would be jumping for joy if it was not for a dental appointment I have at 10:45 this morning. I am dreading it as I am one of those sorts who has not been to a dentist for years. No telling what they will find! Jimmy Hoffa, maybe.
Wish me luck.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, everyone!
And always remember, from the peak of the week, you can see all the way to the weekend!
How's the view, Holiday?

Good Morning. A wet day here with a some light showers coming down. Good thing I got my lawn mowed yesterday evening. Hard to believe that the 200 mark is almost here. Hope everyone has a good day.cheesy

Very hot. I believe in the 90s. Hot and sunny! Are we talking about favorite types of music?! I love classical and jazz. I was raised in a family of jazz nuts, so I like it because I was surrounded by it since birth! But classical can really change my mood for the better. I like pretty much any music except heavy metal and techno, but I have everything from Faith Hill to Common to Beethoven to John Mayer on my play list! I'm very musically well-rounded. LOL

Reine, I adore the jazz legend Louis Armstrong...the early years...Billy Holiday is one of my favorites too. ~ And I also agree, classical music can inspire like no other kind of music...sometimes it's "God-like", the feeling it can give you. Very moving, in fact, it is on my radio right now...playing Bach!

We're supposed to get 1-2" of rain today...not looking good for the Prelude To A Dream tonight at Tony Stewarts Eldora Speedway! :( Hopefully they can get the race in...I guess time will tell!! Wouldn't be the 1st time they got some big names here & then the race had to be canceled b/c of rain!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!!

~How are you today? So happy to see Ms.Deb and the Rennster back.

76 and muggy. I planted all my pumpkins and sunflowers this morning in the upper garden. This year, because of finances..I just bought seed packets. Lots and lots of varities of Sunflowers and Nasturtiums and my personal favorite, PUMPKINS!!! White pumpkins, green pumpkins, yellow pumpkins, Cinderella pumpkins and Jack-O-Lanterns too!

Oh boy, now I'm getting excited about Fall....

YABBA! Seed planting....the passion!

Happy hump day everyone. Hope everyone is having a great day. Cloudy with off & on showers, temps in the 70's here.
Going to planting the garden today also Cedar, we also do to money will have to plant all the seeds. So hopefully everything will come up good this year.

Planning on going to A celebration of live gathering at my hospital on Sunday, since it is cancer survivors Day. My two girls, my sister, niece, hubby & I are all going. It is a great celebration for everyone who has fought cancer & is in remission.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Last band I saw up close, personal, and loud - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nliQk2Uj_I That was this past February. Listen for them on my Christmas show on Coolairity Radio if I get to do one this year.

A couple of months ago we saw Nick Lowe and Ron Sexsmith. They each performed an accoustic solo set.

Now y'all are wondering who these folks are. I like the music below the mainstream radar! As far as the oldies go, I'm more in tune with Loius Jordan, Wynonie Harris, Hot Lips Page, Bullmoose Jackson, Bessie Smith, etc.

Yes! I think classical music is very inspiring! It can also help you unwind after a long day at work! A nice glass of red wine and Bach! :)

Let it be three weeks before Christmas!

Nah, didn't work. Worth a shot. I said three weeks so we could prepare.

Howdy Hi, Christmas Wackos and music afficiatos of sorts.

Busy start to the week. Boss is away so I feel like playing, but I'm being realllllllly good and working hard instead.

Nice to see you, Mamma.

Too bad about Bo. Thankful for the music though.

Gotta motor - someone tell O'Malley the cat to stop looking at me like I'm a complete disappointed, I got a little hot, shook my shirt to create a breeze and he "shot me a look" because I'm disturbing his beauty rest.

Crown - did you visit O'Malley recently, he seems to be extra sleepy these days.

Happy Hump Day, Carl et al! Keep a festive song in your heart!

Morning all, it's 6:45 here. Iook's like it's going to be a nice warm day today which make's a nice change
Anyway happy Thursday everyone and have a wicked day

The week is almost over, hope it is going well for everyone. Went and saw the new Narnia movie today, I thought it was very good. Which means I missed some of our pretty weather :(
On the plus side I was flipping around the channels and found a Christmas episode of "That 70's show" on, made the night even better!

Good morning! I can hardly stand the anticipation.....it's ALMOST FRIDAY!!! :???:
Had a fun night last night...they were able to run the Prelude To A Dream at Eldora. We didn't actually go this year (1st one we've missed :() but we went to the local pub w/ my sister & her hubby & watched it on Pay Per View! It was so fun to watch! I don't know how many of you are Nascar fans, but it is just wild to know that there are 20 some Nascar stars (Jeff Gordon, Kasey Kahne, Tony Stewart, Ray Evernham, Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin, Bobby Labonte, Kyle Petty, DW, etc.) racing 20 minutes from our house in our little "hick town" area!! The drivers had a ball "drivin in the dirt" & I'm sorry we weren't there, but it was very cool to watch it on tv & catch all the interviews & the drivers screwing around...the stuff you miss if you are actually there! Anyway...it got a little late last night & I'm a little sleepy this morning, but it will be alright!!

Have a super day! It's going to be a HOT one here...93 & humid as all get out!!!
