Christmas Countdown - 2008

I am back...... ( horns blare,,,, Starbucks rejoices.. Crown shudders... jay paus duluxes...."
had an awesome trip everyone but sadly did not make it all the wayto Alaska.... two factors coming into play- gas prices were killing us and the fact that a storm came upa nd dropped a tree on the RV while we were enroute...( we were in the middle of the violent strom that hit Omaha if anyone saw where the Olympic swim trials were temporarily halted...) but we made it to Wyoming and Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons... and Jackson Hole.. and Little Big Horn and Wounded Knee and oMG what a wonderful part of the countrya nd yes... Binger is back with something else wonderful...... so let me jump right into it...
WAKE UP CROWN.. the Mountains of Virginia- great place to sleep!
Hey lady in Michigan........ a great day at the lake...... wonderful for you! Hope you were inspired bythe calming waters....... bet the crowds were wowed by the Dusty Wig
Ohhh Jayish..... how was that week off get some serious Paus Du Luxing in?
Auntie... stop lusting after those Candian Mounties.....
Maureen... the seat covers in the RV were plaid.. I thought of you each day when I sat down....
Dom....no more playing second banana to Crown withthe countdown....... ( send them a banana inthe mail...)
Radio Jon.. please go to the mountains of Virginia and play classic disco over a loud speaker all night ( disrupts sleep)
Holiday...... I think of you when I hear madonna sing that song... " Holiday...... Holiday..." ( Radio Jon.. begin the blaring with that song please....)

My holidays started at 5:20 pm yesterday. YABBA!
Surprise! We arent' going away this week, just some day trips and photo opportunities. Might spend a night at my brother's cottage to relax around the water.

I have heaps more where those came from. Not as sunny as I'd hoped, but that might have worked to my advantage for snapping photos at Duschesney Falls.

I could feel the spray taking that shot.
Great hiking spot - signs posted everywhere not to swim in it because it's too dangerous.
You should have seen me sprawled over a large rock like a genuine nature nut not worrying about the moss on the gigantic rock I made my way to in order to capture some of those close-ups.
Only left with one misquito bite. Y'all are worth it. HaHa.

The carousels were built and painted by local artisans. They're wonderful. There's so much detail.
I rode Dasher last year.
They are having a Christmas in July party on the 25th of July, Santa will be there I hope I can make it there too.
