Christmas Countdown - 2009

Monday's are NO fun! But I'm happy to be here! Gearing up for a reconnection to the radio world with some new shows on www.MerryChristmasRadio.com. I'm going to try to be around much more often during the second half of the season countdown than I have been since January...

Had a really nice dinner with my family last night...first time all of us (eleven!) we're out at a restaurant together in a long time, maybe ever!

There are other holidays during the year...Although none as exciting as Christmas!!!

Halfway to the '09 season this week!!! Hard to believe!!!

Just stopping in quick to say "Happy Monday!" to everyone!! I hope you had a fabulous Mothers Day weekend!!! Ours was really nice except my Mom pulled a muscle under her rib cage & ended up at the ER over the weekend. She wasn't able to come to the party b/c the doc told her she had to stay inactive for possibly up to 2 weeks! UGH!! That will be tough on her! She's 80 yo, but (knock on wood) she's an active one!! Hopefully her recovery takes much less than 2 weeks, but regardless - the main goal is to get her better!!

Happy Monday! My work day is almost over (only an hour left). Its cool here today around 62 and overcast. Feels nice though for the Spring. Hope everyone has a great evening.. I still cant believe Friday is 1/2 way to the season.. thats a reason to celebrate with some hot chocolate and Christmas music lol

Hello everyone! It's been a little while since I've been on here. I've been busy. I just finished up my 1st semester of school and got my final grades for the semester...A in algebra and an A in biology! I'm so excited about it. Now I'm on to my summer classes starting May 18th. I just booked my mom and me for a spa day this Saturday. I can't wait, massage and deep pore cleansing facial. Should be a good day. Hope all of you mother's out there had a good mother's day!

Congrats friends! The worst day of the week is over (almost)! In about three minutes, I will get to go home and rest for a grand total of......1 hr....and then it's off to another two hour meeting...YAY!!!! Can't wait!! LOL...could be worse....I could be 6 ft. under so I will do that meeting with pleasure! Have a good one and see yall later today!

Auntiemistletoedear that Coke commercial took me back! I was 7 or 8 when that came out. I always remember the Kroger and Maxwell house ones as well. I also remember seeing(usually in September) the ads for the Christmas albums you could order and get in 6-8 weeks. Times have really changed.

:hello: I'm old enough to remember the song before it was used for Coca-cola. Some of those 70's ads seem a bit sappy these days, but I like sappy now and then.

Looks like everyone helped themeselves to most of the hot and cold beverages at the Shispering Pines, poor Carl the Camel is working double-time today making special blends to replenish the stock.

True it could be worse. As Mondays go, I usually enjoy them. I face each day with triumph just waking up. "Oh good, it was only a dream" comes to mind as the birds begin chirping their good morning songs and O'Malley the cat rattles the door by sticking his paws under 'cause he needs me awake for some silly reason so he can go back to bed.

Carl had the slyest smile on his face when he read that, Auntie. He's got me worried. Likely working on some fantastically weird coffee blends again.
(You know Auntie, I believe that he and Binger just might be consulting on some of these projects. I know he has a backer that he won't name at this time. What do you think?)

:cry: I can't say for sure even wayyyyy back when Carl visited her for a spell and I had the Camel Whisperer visit to translate for us in the beginning, he wouldn't give up anything. There was some talk about driving too fast in Jay's car and talking too fast at the police station and something about playing cards, but he wouldn't give up the name of his special blend co-hort.

Happy Tuesday!! Wow! Less than 3 Days to go for the 1/2 way mark - yippee!!! It's gorgeous out and I'm staying in because of the bee activity outside - being allergic to them makes me very cautious at this time of year. I'm thinking of doing some Christmas practice baking as I have some bananas I need to use up.
