Good morning, everyone!

I am posting a little early because my morning schedule is real busy with an important appointment at 10 and then class at 11:30. I will be heading to the gym after that, and then it's more school work until my evening class. Long day! But, days like this make me realize that the semester is wind down and I will be home for Christmas in less than two weeks. Two weeks from today, I will be at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. Hooray!

Although the Packers won yesterday, they lost two of their best players for the season. My playoffs aspirations are definitely quite skeptical now. Bad news.

Plenty of sun in the forecast for today. The fog should soon lift and open skies with a high of 7C (45F) is predicted. It should be a beautiful late November day. Late November?!? Where has this time gone. A week from tomorrow will be December. Wow!!

Nice to see that everyone enjoyed their weekend. Star, I hope your light issue has been sorted out. Holiday, how was TSO? It was definitely nice to get caught up on a few things after missing out yesterday. Enjoy your Monday, everyone!!

There are finally other people getting in the christmas spirit around my apartment complex. I counted 4 apartments last night that had christmas lights lit up on their porches. Today I am going to do some grocery shopping and watch the nascar coverage. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm noticing lights going up all around me too. I can't wait to get this house cleaned up and decorated!!! :)

Goodmorning All. Hold on a minute . . . . Coffee.
Ah, that's better. This is the season for egg nog creamered coffee. And cinnamon toast.

I've got Johnny Mathis - It Came Upon a Midnight Clear playing in the back ground. That's my suggested listening song today.

They lit up downtown Chicago on Saturday. I've lived here most of my life, but I'm still Wowed by the sight. I saw 3 houses fully lit and a few just starting. Some people start out slow. A wreath, the bushes in front of the house and then everything on.

Ballcoach - Thanks, I'll pass that along. I'll do that next. Their email takes a few days, post office takes 8 or 9 day.

Crown - Our oldest son made grandparents out of us in March. I insisted that we are not old enough to be grandparents. So Grandma Eagle is actually Great Grandma Eagle. But we all have always known that she was Great. By the way, I don't think I've thanked you for keeping the count. I'm not always able to post, but it makes my day to read the tread, watch those milestones go by. Thanks !

Merry Cristmas . . . . . .everyone.

Mornin' everyone! I hope you all have a great day! We got all of our lights out and our giant wreath up this past weekend. We only have a little bit more to do (timers, extension cords, etc.) then we are done with the lights!

wow
im not feeling christmassy yet !!!!

Merry Chirstmas, sila!! You'll get in the spirit eventually. It's taking me longer than normal this year, but it finally hit me just last night. I'd suggest taking a drive in the late evening looking for decorated houses. That's what did it for me.

And speaking of JOY, the duty assignments are posted for Thanksgiving . . . . . and I'm not on it. I'm off from Tuesday to Friday ( Wow! ). I see a whole lot of Christmas shopping in my future. Maybe a early start to my Christmas cards. Most of my outside Christmas lights are up, so maybe just a little more just to finish up.

My youngest son Matt, is over in Afghanistan. He will be there until May. He and his wife are expecting their first baby on December 18th. I'm sure all the youngsters here know how to do the "web cam" thing, but we are still trying to work it out so he can see his baby when the time comes.

Congrats on the time off for the holiday!! :)

God bless your son for doing what he's doing over there. I hope you figure out that web cam on time!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm hanging lights this afternoon! Nancy will only let me decorate my shop in the backyard. Apparently, I have no "taste" and little "class" when it comes to decorating. Humph. I'll show her.

I've got my multi-colored lights that have variable flashing speeds and sequences. I also have a lighted Santa that I screw to the roof, and a projector that shines a picture of Santa and Rudolph on the wall.

No taste, indeed. She'll see.

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Good morning everyone! I don't have much going on today. I'm going to clean and do some laundry. And this evening, I'm going to attempt a new chicken recipe. We'll see how that goes.

I've been feeling especially Christmassy lately, and I hope that feeling just gets bigger and bigger as the days go by.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day today! cheesy

And bring your camera - for Blossoms thread photos.
(Don't forget to obscure names and street addresses, of course)

Good Morning, Friends.

Rain is falling as I type here in Raleigh, where we stand at 52 degrees.
It should dry up tonight, however, and be nice on through Thanksgiving.

And just how close is Thanksgiving??
An answer everyone knows, but it's fun to post it anyway:
Days to Christmas Day: 32 (One month from the day-after-tomorrow!)
Days to Thanksgiving Day: 3 (UNDER HALF A WEEK! Is that possible??)

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!
(How could it be othewise when the week will bring us under a month to Christmas and through the Thanksgiving holidays!)

A week at home for me -- at last!

Had a family meeting last night to organize ourselves. The tree, the lights, all the decorating and such will all happen over the next couple of days. Kids are pretty jacked.

I was surprised to hear how excited they are about Black Friday. I personally am pretty uninspired with what I've seen so far this year and while I never really buy anything on that day I like to be motivated. Not them. Seems they want to be out people watching early next Friday and then go out to breakfast with Dad. Don't know what I did to make this a tradition, but it is, so we'll do it.

Good Morning Everyone. Had such an AWESOME weekend. We saw TSO Saturday night. OMG what a show!!! and our seats were great too. Hubby is already talking about going to to next years show!
Yesterday we spend the afternoon bringing down ALL the christmas stuff from the attic. Nothing decorated yet except for the kids room. They have their tree up! Going to wait until the weekend to decorate.

We did set up the Christmas Train set in the middle of the living room fllor last night for a but. The kids got loved it. Going to spend the next couple days getting the house cleaned and ready for Thanksgiving as we are hosting....

Have a great day!

Sounds like a great tradition that they enjoy!

Good morning everyone

I am off all week, so I plan on doing some heavy duty cleaning. We are going to put our Christmas stuff up this week. I am so excited! I have a few things around the house already, but not the big stuff.

My daughters are excited about Black Friday. They want to go to a different mall this year. I would prefer to go to somewhere I am more familiar with, but I will go for them. It is just going to be so much more crowded and I don't like to drive in crowded areas I am not familiar with. We are leaving a little earlier than normal so hopefully it won't be that bad getting there.

My son is excited about Friday too. My husband and he do a lot of fun things together while us girls go shopping. I usually take him shopping later so he can buy presents for others. He hates to go shopping with his sisters because they take too long. LOL

I hope you all have a very nice day. Take care and stay safe.

Morning all! Someone stole a strand of our multicolored Christmas lights off the porch :( That makes me sad. Hope everyone is having a good day! Well back to work!

Man, that's low. :-?

Sorry to hear that that happened, I can't understand why someone would do that, goes totally against the season. Low indeed!

We're nearly all decorated at our house. I'm going to take a break tonight to head over to Mom's; I polish her silver and she feeds me dinner. Fair exchange, I think!
