I hope all of You are doing better than I...lol....I caught a really, really bad cold.....coughing so much...my back and chest are hurting already (good work-out for dem muscles)....we wanted too drive to the biggest amusement park of Germany today....but the weather messed it up....snow on the streets everywhere...lol...and we don´t want to take any chances...so now I am recovering the cold and sit at home

Okay so...There was a write up in our local newspaper that outlined the most decorated houses in my town. Well my & part of my family decided to check on place out.

The man that lives in the house has wired his lights to go to the trans syberian orchestra tunes!!! It was absolutly stunning. He has it set up through a radio station, so you tune your radio to 88.9fm in our town, and his lights flash to the beat...its quite lovely to watch. My sister got a video of it, and i will try to post it somehow.cheesy

Wow it is the last weekend before christmas and a week away from one of my favorite days of the year. The day after christmas decoration sales. I plan on doing some more chocolate work today and watching it snow outside. I finally finished my shopping so I don't have to go out in the crowds. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone, less than a week to go, loving every minute of the christmas season!

More snow for us today, was a beautiful cold winter morning, blue sky and sun shining but has now within the last hour started snowing again cheesy I've got the curtains open to see the snow falling, the christmas decorations all lit up, cookies baking in the oven, it doesn't get much better than this!

As can be plainly seen (even through the golden glow of the rolling season) we are now UNDER a week away from Christmas Day.

We got some snow here yesterday!!
(OK, it was brief and didn't stick around but it was coming down pretty heavily for a time. And, hey! "Any snow is a pretty good snow"!)

Cold this morning, where we stand at 34.
We did not get out of the 30's all day yesterday and are not supposed to get past the mid 30's today with more frozen precip possible through this evening.
It's getting more and more "Seasonal" around here!
(Just no black ice, please!)

As part of my daughter Maggie's 12th birthday this week we purchased tickets to one of her favorite artists, Jon Schmidt. He's a local pianist/composer who actually lived in our neighborhood about a decade ago. In fact, my eldest daughter used to be their babysitter. Anyway, he had his Christmas concert last night.

I cannot tell you how refreshing and energizing it was. Music is such a powerful force of the Christmas spirit. It amazes me what one man with a piano can do by leading a couple of thousand people in a creative, spontaneous rendition of Silent Night.

Wow guys! It has been almost a week since I got to post last! Things are sosososo busy...between ballgame duty, school meetings, and others I haven't been home all night except for two nights in the past two weeks! The wife and I had a problem...I asked her to send out our Christmas cards...and she thought I said I'd send them out....so we found them on Friday morning....so now they are on the way!

There has just been so much going on that the time flew by! I agree Britt....November was a blur...and December has been a blink! Haha! However, I will way this...I am going to slow down and enjoy the next week!

Tomorrow, Mom and I will go buy our groceries early in the morning for all Christmas events! Tomorrow...the cooking starts! Can't wait!

Eagle....I will write a card and put it in the mail first thing Monday!

I've not long woken up...I put the kettle for a hot mug of tea...then decided to empty my bin...I opened the back door and guess what??!!...go on guess!!...it's snowing and all frosty and foggy!! :dance: It's gorgeous!! I hope it stays this way for next week!!

Morning everyone! 5 days to go WOOHOO!!!! I decided yesterday that monday will be my last working day until after Boxing Day (I'm a PhD student so don't have official holiday time) and I have to say knowing that I will be having those few days off before the big day really got me excited! Today is the big food shop for Christmas, really looking forward to that!
