Christmas Countdown - 2009

My daughter found a wrapped gift that said "who ever finds the Christmas pickle first gets to open this family gift, the first gift of Christmas!"

So she comes to me and wants to know what a Christmas pickle is. I got to share with all of them what it was all about. They all wanted to do it right away, so we did!
I sent them all downstairs while I hid it, and we all discovered that trying to find a green pickle in a green tree is not easy to do.

10 mins later, with some "your warm"," your cold", directions, my son finally found the thing, and got to open the first gift of Christmas for our family.

It was the latest game to join our pile of games......" Monopoly deal"
We spent the next couple of hours learning it and playing it. Very fun game by the way, would recommend it!

This may be my last post until October or November next year (I admit I only come around when the season gets closer). Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I have to work, but no bother...everyone will be in a great mood! The bank where I work closes early at 3:00 and after that is fun time with the family and busyness until the New Year.

I want to wish you all a very merry and blessed Christmas. It's been a joy this season reading your stories and sharing mine.

Seems like it came so fast this year for some reason! But it's here and I hope Santa is good to all of you.

well...great night of family fun....someone took ballgame duty for me so I got to stay with family! Boy, did we have fun....we played family fued on the wii and man it was a blast!

Our family was so happy to be around each other! Good times in store for the next two days....can't wait....gonna busy day tomorrow, but I will find time to get on here and talk to everyone...

gonna be here for a little while...hope I'm not alone....

I watched the 1994 version of Miracle on 34th street tonight. It is one of my favorite christmas movies. I also love White Christmas and will be watching it tomorrow.
