Family dinner was awesome! Gifts under the tree... stockings are stuffed....kids all snuggled in their bed no doubt dreaming of what Santa is bringing them....Coffee Pot is all set and ready to go come morning.....Now it's time to relax with hubby for a bit and wait for midnight when I will step outside and welcome in Christmas by counting my blessing and then it will off to bed for a few hours of sleep before the magical morning descends upon us.

I'm looking forward to a week's holiday off from counting.
BUT! Rest assured, I shall be here shortly after midnight Eastern Time January 1 to launch "Christmas Countdown - 2010" and the fun will begin all over again!


Well, my family and I just finished watching "It's A Wonderful Life", the nieces are in bed, my sister, brother-in-law and I have finished "helping" Santa, and all is ready.

I'd best retire because everyone is getting up early tomorrow morning!

Well...guys...I'm so full I can't stand it....we had such a good time and I am so so so tired! We were going to stay up and try to see in the best day of the year, but if we want to get up bright and early we are going to go to bed! My wife just told me to tell all you Merry Christmas!

Well it's almost midnight and this year was great on here. I thank you all for being so awesome and am so glad we made it to Christmas finally!! lol I hope everybody has a great day tomorrow and you got what you asked Santa for and am looking forward to counting down to next year. Hopefully, I'll be engaged in the morning as long as she says yes and I'll come back home safely in one piece from Afghanistan late next year. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND GOD BLESS!!!!

Finally, I was able to log on. MERRY CHRISTMAS to EVERYONE!!! It is still two hours until midnight in California, but in my hometown (Christmas Town, USA) in North Carolina, it is already Christmas. This has been a tremendous year. Thanks to all who have contributed to this forum. It is AWESOME!!

I just finished emailing my son in Afghanistan. He reminded me he's nine and a half hours ahead of us. He is coming off his shift and is sitting down to a nice Chriatmas breakfast.

WAKE UP, IT'S CHRISTMAS!


O'Malley the cat has already opened his presents. Will get around to checking on my photos on Boxing Day when things quiet down a bit.

That reminds me of when I was about five years old and I had to get out of bed to use the bathroom. I listened hard to make sure there were no tinkling bell sounds and there wasn't so I figured it was safe to exit my room.

WOW! Santa had already delivered our surprises and I could see the livingroom from the hallway. I raced into my brothers' room and woke them up with glee. "Santa's been here! Come on, let's wake mom and dad up!" (Safety in numbers) We burst into their room got them out of bed and headed down to investigate the contents of our stockings first and then found our gifts. Unopened from Santa. The presents took up half the livingroom. When we finished exploring everything, we had to go back to bed before opening the gifts from our relatives, friends and each other that were wrapped because it was only 3:00 a.m.

After that Christmas, a rule was put in place that we couldn't wake anyone up until the street lights went out.

Looks to be another busy day.....gotta drag wife out of bed so we can open presents, gotta go to my parents so we can open presents, and then to inlaws so we can eat.......and open presents!

Had a great time.....can't wait for next year's countdown....enjoy the day.....eat alot.....then take a mid afternoon nap....
