Just when you think it's going to get mild and disappear 
: it snows again.
Calling for warm temps next week though. The Spring thaw better not come along too early, you should see the size of the snowbank at the dead end by the creek. It's screaming "flood" if they don't start removing some of it.
I should snap a photo, it's more than half way up the height of the tallest tree along the bank and wide all over. If I was a kid, I'd be climbing all over that thing.
The sad thing is that it's been too cold most of the winter to make snowmen. I think I have one picture of the first snowman I saw this winter.
Hoping for a few more in February, I'm also hoping it's gone by the first week in March. It's been here since early November.

PoloPlayr -- I hope you will find interesting things at the London Toy Fair to share with us. I wonder if the world economic situation will affect the design of new toys -- and the prices? Or does this Toy Fair carry items for the very rich?

Another cold one here in Raleigh with our temp standing at 32 currently.
Lots of sun and no wind, however - makes it feel a bit warmer.
Snow is possible for early next week, so the weather service reports.
Our daily count:

Days to Christmas Day:329
As you can see, we are now UNDER 2 weeks away from the 1/4 Season milestone marker.

cheesy Today it was "Jolly Old St. Nicholas". Tomorrow is the last day of January - it's going by quickly, Christmas will greet us again before we know it!
Thank goodness we have the countdown going to remind us how close it is.
:hello: I was entering the changeroom after my early morning workout and one of the ladies was talking to another one about her new kitten and how naughty she was. She said, "she took the candycanes out of the dish on the coffee table and they were scattered around the floor and the dogs got into them. Do you know how hard it is to get candycane goo off the fur of Shih Tzu. Thank goodness my big dog didn't want any."
I remarked, "you still have candycanes out? Cool. Keep 'em out, there are only 329 days left!"
The other lady said, "oh you're one of those people".
I said proudly, "Indubididly!"
:-? A few times during the day, I thought about how difficult it must have been to get the sticky candycane off her little dog's fur coat. Reminded me of the time my mom was snipping the lollipop goo out of my long hair when I was little.

Good Saturday Morning To You All! About 43 degrees out now and windy. We may see wind gusts up to 70mph. Argh! Daughter and I have a busy day today. She has a basketball game at noon today. We have to be there at 11 for pictures. Not sure if I mentioned but she is the only girl on her team. She seems to enjoy playing this sport so far. I really enjoy going to her games. After her game we will head to my sisters place for my nephews birthday party. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Good morning! It is fourteen out with a windchill of 1 below zero. No sun out so today is a housework day. Hopefully it will be a better day than yesterday when everything seemed to go wrong - just little, irritating things that add up to a big headache. I'm very hopeful. Then we have short February (bringing us to the 1/4 Season Milestone and the 300-Day Christmas Day window) followed by a short hop to March and Spring!
