I´m getting ready to leave with Kandice today, to my grandparent´s.....
It´s their 60th Wedding Anniversary....

What a milestone! Congratulations to your grandparents! It will be fun to see the pics of then and now.

...Nancy and the kids had a full dinner ready for me: grilled chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, fresh corn on the cob, fresh squash and mac & cheese (compliments of my beautiful daughter!).quote]

Yummo! Sounds divine. Love mac and cheese--anykind, even the boxed ones!!

Good morning Christmas nuts!!! :) Trackrebel - Congrats to your Grandparents!! 60 years is amazing!!! So cool!! Enjoy your visit!!

Bradmac - your dinner sounds yummy!! I made myself a green onion bratt on the grill & hubby had left over pizza - fails in comparison to your meal!!

It's a dreary ol day here today - it poured & poured & poured down rain this morning. There's water everywhere!! Fill that lake up! Ha ha!! Water was pouring out of our spouting at home this morning, so I went down the basement to make sure it wasn't coming in the window. Well, when I looked at the window I noticed how dirty the sheers were & I decided to take them down & wash them. When I did, guess what I saw???? 2 little toads looking in at me!!! LOL!! There were 5 total (that I could see) in the window well, but 2 were peaking in my window!!! Hee hee.... Peeping Toads!!!!

On that note - make it a great day!!!!

I planned a bbq for dinner

it was supposed to be a warm day, now however it is raining....again.
Oh well, on to the next plan, just as soon as I decide what that is!

Hey everyone...am back from the anniversary of my grandparent´s...it was nice...not too many people...which is good...because both of em were sick a few weeks ago.
I took pictures today...but I forgot to take the picture of their actual wedding picture...I will do so on Saturday and post the pictures after that.

Kandice was a sweetheart as was my 5-year old niece Sarah and my 7-month old nephew Fabian...I felt very blessed all day to have a family like this...and to be able to enjoy those two grandparent´s for such a long time....I hope some more years will add...:)....just wanted to write that I LOVE MY GRANDPARENTS

Congratulations to your grandparents trackrebel. Is your family all in Germany too?

YS

yeah....almost all my family is in Germany....after World War II the sister of my grandmother married a US G.I. and moved to the Seattle Area with him....so I have family over there, too....and have always had a soft spot for the States in my heart....I met almost all of them when I traveled to the States in 1999.

That's really cool, and interesting. I don't have any known relatives out of the US. That would really be neat to be able to travel to other continents and have family there to visit.
Thanks for answering!

Good Thursday morning, everyone!

I worked on my side-business last night till around 9pm. When I got home, Nancy and the kids had a full dinner ready for me: grilled chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, fresh corn on the cob, fresh squash and mac & cheese (compliments of my beautiful daughter!).

I was expecting a sandwich and a glass of tea, so that was a wonderful surprise!

It's going to be hot again today, low 90's & clear.

I hope everyone ahs a great day!

What,...no coffee?? What a shame...

YABBA!!

Yes, I'm really ready for Friday! I just wish it would stop raining. All week long we have had rain, rain, rain. I love sitting in the porch swing, drinking coffee, watching the rain.....but enough already. cheesy It's time for the sunshine to take over.

Binger,

Sorry to differ. I am from NC and I TOTALLY LOVE coffee. Yes, I also love sweet tea IN THE SUMMER. BUT coffee is my first and foremost drink of the day!!! No matter the season!

Hey guys!!! Hope this finds all doing well! Been hot and wet here....but it's good for the flowers and the yard.

Track, congrats on family moment. It's always great to have those times. I can remember being 9 and going to my great-grandparents 60th.

Has anyone got big plans for the weekend? My wife is heading out of town again (not good, but not always bad either....I like me-time...is that wrong) and plan on seeing just how UNPRODUCTIVE I can be. Other than yardwork, I think I will stay home, watch movies, read the board, drink coffee....and dare I say it....n-a-p?? Sorry Binger, you're the best, but it's going to be a lazy weekend! See y'all tomorrow!

Good morning fellas.....got up at 8am and am working now...getting ready for my second coffee now. I will have my godchild Kimberly over for the night....even tho her mum is not my real sister...we consider us as sisters...so Kimberly is like a niece to me.

Sooo.....what did you decide?? :hello:
I stayed inside and rooted through more things to put out for the garage sale on Saturday. Also started work on a cake that is being picked up Sunday afternoon. (it is a copy of the travelocity gnome, going to be about 18" tall)

wow, Friday already!

that week sure went by fast.
Only 195 days until Christmas, which I am sure will come as quickly as this week did.
Strawberries are finally ripening, so the next while will be spent making jams and jellies. I love filling shelves with the things I have canned myself.

Was up far too early this morning.....the light mornings makes it easier to get up though especailly with the baby.

Havent done much today apart from change nappies, lol
