They are talking snow for us for Friday night...Wet snow changing to rain but the "S" word still appears in the forecast! October is flying even faster than the rest of the year has...It'll be Christmas in no time! already have music going almost full time and am beginning to plan our light display for the outside of the house...All is right with the world!!!

Jay

Enjoy it while you can Jay! We are suppose to get all rain at this end of the state!

Good morning everyone! I did not want to get out of my warm bed this morning. That's the second time this year so far. It was freezing this morning with frost everywhere. Right now, it's 39F and on the slow rise. We're forcast to maybe get a little snow this week. So exciting!!

Today, I will be doing laundry and continuing to unpack those boxes in the living room. I swear they're multiplying overnight.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday! :))

Anyone have any ideas? We moved here (a 3 bedroom bungalow thats pretty huge) from a 1 bed apartment this June. I'm so not used to how big this house is. Our apartment was easy to keep warm (the bedroom kept warm overnight last winter since all three of us were sleeping in there and it a smallish room) and this place is so up and down

Check your windows to see if you have a draft coming from them. If so get some caulking rope and seal up around the window where the window and the frame meet or put plastic over the window. This should help a little. During the day opening the curtains where the sun is shining through and let the sun heat up the room and then close the curtains when the sun is gone. If the floors are hard wood and area rug will help.

Anyone know of a good place to buy charms and charm bracelets? Doesn't have to be real cheap. But not real expensive either. I've looked locally in the stores and just haven't seen anything that I liked or that I felt fit who it was for.

Good morning, everyone!

It's Wednesday. Mid-week already! The weather is quite cold here today. Ottawa is currently sitting at 1C and -2C with windchill. In other words, 34F and 28F. We are below freezing with windchill! Another sign that the season is right around the corner.

Not a whole lot going on today. Work and then a much needed practice tonight at 9 PM in order to get some last minute touches in before Canadian Nationals this weekend in Montreal.

It's great to see the count now has under a month remaining! We're getting there. And the posts... They just keep increasing!

I cheated a little bit last night. A Christmas song came on my iPod as I always have it on shuffle. I could not resist to changing the song. While it's not traditional - those are all specifically on my Christmas playlist - Anbelin's cover of "Baby, Please Come Home" definitely allowed me to celebrate the one month until the Christmas Season mark. Now, I just hope that I can hold off until November 13th or even the November 11th TSO performance, considering that's Christmas music!

Well, have a great day, everyone! It's supposed to be very cold and sunny here today as we reach a daytime high of 43F! Beautiful weather. Enjoy your Wednesday!

Beautiful Pic christmasatar!!!!!!

I actually fell to temptation while doing the food shopping and bought a pack of iced fruit cake slices from Sainsburys... they're so good, and making me feel very Christmassy :D

That frosty picture is beautiful! I hope it snows again here in Oxford. The college spires and lamp-lit streets are so pretty in the snow.

Good Morning, Friends.

Another coolish one here where we stand at 55 degrees under very overcast skies with the threat of rain for the next several days.
(It's begining to get progressively more seasonal!)

Our "under a month now" count:
Days to the Season: 30
Days to Christmas Day: 72
That's right, Folks! We are now UNDER a month to the commencement of Christmas Season 2009. Can you believe it??

With that happy thought, let's all meet with Holiday at the Shispering Pines for some traditional mid-week Sweet Southern Tea, Mauradio Sugar Cookies, Carl's special Fall Fired Twinkies and lots of fellowship while we enjoy the view to the weekend from the peak of the week and the peak of the Shispering Pines' rooftop deck.

I hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!!

Have a great trip to the mountains, Brad.
We enjoyed ours last weekend. I'm sure you will, too. Great place to get away!

Hey Don't forget the coffee. Or maybe I'll just bring the coffee with me! cheesy

Just an FYI - if Holiday is there, there will ALWAYS be coffee!

Good chilly, rainy morning my Christmas friends!! Happy Hump Day!!! From the peak of the week I am looking out onto a chilly weekend!!! Brrrr!! It isn't supposed to get out of the 40's here today, but it feels much colder with the rain & breeze!! Went for a walk w/ my friend this morning - I wasn't sure if she would show up since it was raining, but there she was!!! We just put up our hoods & we hardly noticed the rain! (drizzle) I was planning to grill steaks tonight but I might have to re-think my thinking!!! Brrrrr!!!

Hope you are all having a great day!!!

We are UNDER 1 month to the season!

Bradmac - have a GREAT time in the smokies! Sounds wonderful! ENJOY!! :-D

Um - well - um - yeah, Carl will have coffee there too, but - well - let's not talk about it.

Shhh! If you keep talking about coffee, Binger'll show up, too! cheesy

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

All this talk of freezing weather and pictures of frost on the ground is getting me in the holiday spirit, for sure!

♫It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go.♪

My mother-in-law's sister had a surgery earlier this week, so Nancy can't decide if she should go up to Atlanta to visit her Aunt this weekend, or go to the mountains. If she goes for the hospital visit, we'll just re-schedule the mountain trip to next weekend, but that entails more schedule conflicts. Either way, I'm going to the mountains!

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday! cheesy

Well I hope it all works out for ya Bradmac!!! And I hope Nancy's aunt is ok too!

We will pray for your wife's aunt. If you do come to the mountains, there is a chance for light snow above 4000 ft.
