Christmas Countdown - 2009

There are chocolate advent calendars already available at Laura Secord. Only another week until the rest of the store reflects those delicious calendars as well!!
Christmas Vacation? Already? How exciting!!
Good day, everyone!!
It's a typcal Fall day here in Ottawa. Highs of 12C (54F) with some rain in the forecast. About 70 percent of our leaves have changed and fallen to the ground. Still, that leaves an impressive 30 percent remaining. There is still a fair amount of green as well, which is a little strange for this late in Ocotber.
Only 17 more days until The Season. I find that quite hard to believe! This means that there are only 10 days until the premier of A Christmas Carol in theaters! Does anyone know how early I can purchase tickets for a show? I don't want to miss out on opening night in iMax! It's going to be fantastic!!
The sad part about everything going so fast is that I have yet to purchase my Halloweem costume. There are a few costume parties that I would not mind attending but I need to make sure that I have my assignments mostly completed before then. Having a minor paper and presentation due on the Monday after Halloween and, more important, Brett Favre's return to Lambeau, will be tough. Thankfully, I have about four more days to work real hard and hopefully complete everything!
Thanks to Minta for taking over the countdown, once again. It's much apprecaited and very comforting to have it updated every morning! Since we're getting so close I hope that more people will start contributing to the countdown so that we can meet that 10,000 post goal. The Christmas Spirit should defintely bring at least a couple dozen more members the way of the Countdown soon!

It's raining here; typical Maryland fall day. The bright yellow and red leaves against the grey sky is very pretty to see, and although it's a bit warmer today, (55 degrees) we expect it to get cooler soon.

The Toronto maple leafs actually won a game!! Of course it was against a bunch of ducks so maybe that has something to do with it! LOLcheesy
Yup a few weeks ago I stood in line for 45 minutes at Toys R Us waiting for them to open so I could get my DD one. They only had 8 and thankfully I was 5th in line.
LOL! A zhu zhu pet is a little motorized hamster. It is suppose to do alot of what a real hamster would do except eat and make a mess. It is being called the Pet without the Mess.
