46 days til the big day....goin to the St. Martis Lantern Parade today with kandice......afterwards they have children´s punch and mulled wine (yummie) and goodies such as waffles and stuff like that.

Good morning my Christmas loving friends…..here we are just days away from the start of the season......A season that is so full of magic and awe that it strikes adults and children a like. A season that we wait all year for, that once it does arrive it seems to end so quickly.
This year my one Christmas wish is for the season to take its time….to linger about while we enjoy and fully embrace the season and everything we love about it. I want more time to cuddle with our children while we are watching our favorite Christmas shows on TV. To bake all those beloved cookies that we make at Christmas…to pretend I did not see the little ones sneak a cookie or two off the cooling racks. More time to enjoy, too appreciate the sparkle that shines in our children’s eyes when they see the house all decorated and fully lit up, on Christmas Eve when they track Santa NORAD and then put out Santa’s milk and cookies, on Christmas morning when they see all those presents that seemed to magically appear under the tree that were not there the night before.
So Father Christmas….this season please take your time so we may fully enjoy what the season is truly about and to be thankful for all the blessings we have in our lives! Merry Christmas Everyone!

Good Morning, My Good Friends!
Well, it's here - the first day of our long awaited string of special posts leading up to the begining of the Season on November 13.
And we are so close!
Days to the Season: 5
Days to Christmas Day: 47.
Wow! I can almost reach out and touch it.
(Just think - 365 days down to 5. Incredible!)
Not quite as cold here this morning, but still down at 48 under sunny skies.
No rain predicted until Tuesday, and then only a 30% chance.
Well, I marauded around the mall yesterday with camera in hand and secured a number of nice Christmas shots for the Blossoms thread.
I love that our mall and the stores in it really like to get into the holiday decorating spirit. Gives me ideas!

Great opening post, and I couldn't agree more about the Christmas Season taking it's time.
It is that feeling that helped drive the idea for counting down to the Season as well as Christmas Day.
We can enjoy being within the season for 50 days instead of having what we count down for over in 24 hours.
Yes, the rest of us have a tough act to follow!

Happy November 8th! What a beautiful day out... 63 here in NY!!
I just put up the lights around my deck and put up the artificial tree in the basement lastnight with my MIL. It is not decorated yet though.

Morning all! Been up a while, but had to go to my folks house to take care of their dog since they are on my trip! But it's good!
Didn't exactly get to the lights yesterday, but the wife and I got out and did some Christmas related stuff.....she's so funny....all year long she downplays it and then when it gets here....it just eats her up....example...we have a tradition of going out on black friday and looking around and maybe getting a few gifts...but the one thing we always get is something for the tree...she wanted to do that last night!!! I told her we had to wait...the anticipation is what makes it all special....she looked at me with those eyes and said that I said the same thing about the tree....then she called me a Christmas Bummer!!
Oh well....

Wow only 5 days left to the season starts. I can't wait. Not much going on here today. The colts play early today and the nascar race is on later this afternoon. So I will get to watch most of the colts game befroe the race starts. It should be a good game but they have had a lot of injuries this week so our season may start going down hill. I am also going to try to get some gifts wrapped. I wanted to do it yesterday but I spent alot more time out shopping than I had planned on. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ballcoach, I had a similar incident yesterday. Kim always makes fun of me for posting here and says that I am obsessed, yet I had to settle her down last night when we were in the Christmas section at Wal-Mart. She wanted to purchase everything for our new tree! I made her hold off on a few things and she became angry, too. It's great to see the Spirit of the Season is already consuming others, especially loved ones!

Is it really November 8th? Looking out from my window and balcony, you certainly could not tell! It was already 10C (50F) at 10 AM this morning! Highs are forecasted to reach 13C (55F)! We're supposed to reach 13C (55F) today. Possibly higher! Then, 60F tomorrow! It will return to a warm seasonal temperature throughout the rest of the week. Snow is certainly not in sight.
Well, it's another Sunday, which means football. Here's hoping the Packers can rebound and defeat the Bucs. They need a massive winning streak that extends to and past December 7th, when I attend my first game at Lambeau Field in two years. Very excited!! It's less than a month away.
Glad to see that the posts have continued to pick up! Maybe 10,000 is possible after all!! Have a great Sunday, everyone!!
