Christmas Countdown - 2009

It's 2340hrs here as I start this post. A long day at work, followed by a great ride home. I detoured down a bunch of side streets on the way home. The (maybe) one inch of snow sure makes all the lighted houses look so much better. That includes my own humble home (though I say it myself). All white lights this year. And I still have one or two things left to put up outside. Then I have to get going on the inside . . . . . . . I've never been this late before.
Playing in the back ground is: Mannheim Steamroller - Celebration - 06 - Hallelujah.
As Radio JonD would say "It's all about the sound track." Or something to that effect.
Today I sent my son the first part of his present; a box full of all sorts of Christmas stuff. They have no electric in their barracks, so I sent some sets of battery powered lights. It takes 7-10 days to send to the Middle East. I plan on sending chex mix and some other stuff in the next package (maybe in a couple days). And, of course, a Christmas card. He said the guys and girls, love to get share them around. (Not bad for a rough, tough bunch of Marines). Even a few of the neighbors are going to send him a card. Cool !
I have to turn in. I have lots of stuff to do tomorrow. Like, Christmas cards, My deco,
Grandma Eagle's deco ( I've literally replaced 100 bulbs on her pre-lit tree), and I've got to start wrapping presents.
I better go. So I'll just say Goodnight to all you Night Hawks. and Good morning to everyone else !

Our first major snow storm of the year is expected tomorrow, 15-25cm.
Which is fine if you don't have to drive through it....as it will be impossible to get home tomorrow evening...not looking foward to that.
We are having our office Xmas dinner this evening so I set the DVR for tonight's Xmas specials on ABC.
10 days until Xmas Vacation and 16 days to Xmas Eve!!

Well, I don't think we'll be getting snow anytime soon here in south GA. It's supposed to be 79°F tomorrow! But then it'll be 30°F by Friday night. That's crazy!

Good Morning, my many Christmas Friends of all beverage persuasions!
Another cold one here in Raleigh, but not quite as cold as yesterday.
We stand at 40 here currently.
But also unlike yesterday, rain is predicted for tonight and all day tomorrow.
(None of the white stuff in the forecast, however)
Days to Christmas Day: 17
(That's less than 2 1/2 weeks, friends!)
Well, today I will take my father Christmas shopping and help him with his Christmas cards.

Well I never got my new work in yesterday from my boss so I am at home today. She told me that she would overnight it last thursday and it still hasn't shown up. Today I am going to try to clean the kitchen. We are supposed to get lots of rain today and high winds starting tonight. We are on the warm side of the storm so we are not going to get alot of snow. They are saying that the cold air will arrive tomorrow and that we will get about an inch of snow tomorrow afternoon. I am more worried about the 50mph winds than the snow. I will get the flashlights and candles ready when the winds start to pick up. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hi folks...am tired...my boyfriend left for Cameron (Africa) yesterday to be with his family until January 11th...and today my three year old a screaming fit and my seven year old niece doesn´t really want to make her homework.....beautiful day

Snow associated with this system will likely begin as early as this afternoon in Southwestern Ontario, in the evening in Toronto and reaching the national Capital region just before dawn on Wednesday.
Strong winds will accompany the snow tonight and Wednesday significantly lowering visibilities in blowing snow. Periods of heavy snow are also likely. Snow amounts will range from 10 to 15 centimetres. Lesser amounts are likely along the shore of Western Lake Ontario as snow could be wet.
