You're going to love this storm, Star. It started here this morning and it has not let up. The nice part is that it is only white, fluffy snow. The wind isn't bad at all. My mom's husband has already snowblown the drive way twice this morning....!

Thanks! It was neat to be out there in December. I don't think I ever have before.
It felt like the Arctic!! The funny part was that my dad and I went inside to eat lunch and it was even colder indoors!!

It's noon on the final double digit day of the Countdown to Christmas. Who ever thought we'd get this far? Incredible!! As mentioned, it is snowing here. I can recall a few Christmases where we barely had any snow for Christmas, including two that were green Christmases... Thankfully, there is no threat of that this year! Plenty of snow.
We are in the process of updating our Christmas lights and decorations, both indoor and out. Because of this, the house seems to be lacking in full-out Christmas decorations this year. Outside seems bare with only a few decorations and the Christmas Room only has about half of the previous years. Upstairs is still yet to be done. Hopefully it picks up the spirit.
Not done decorating yet?! I can explain that. Today is my mom's birthday and it has always been a tradition to complete decorations on her birthday. Tonight, we are decorating the tree and finishing off everything. I'm excited. Pictures will be posted later.

Well I can't say we are having a heat wave but it's much warmer out today than it has been lately. About -8 yesterday evening. Right now 29... Wow! 9 more days to go. Doesn't seem possible. I plan to get my baking started soon. Have a great day!!

Working on cards a few a day which helps to prolong the spirit and have it not be such an overwhelming process. 2009 has been a challenging one and I'll not be sorry to see it go, but we are healthy and happy anyway!

Just to warn you - it gets MANIC here on Christmas Eve!! The year before last worked pretty well and there was a real-time countdown to Christmas day; I think I was lucky because it was Christmas Day here 5 hours before the East Coast and I brought in the Day with my MMC family.
Last year the site had so many hits it was very difficult for everybody to get on.
I think the solution is to just log on the minute you wake up on Christmas Eve and just stay here cheesy !!!!!!!!!!!
We added more horsepower to ye old servers and we're hoping that makes Christmas Eve more available for folks.
I did not make it on last year,:-? tried repeatedly through out the day, very disappointed...hopefully this year I will make it on!
