OK, I have my steel toed work boots on now, it is safe again to sit and type!

So, how are you all? We got some snow last night, but not nearly what they promised. Supposed to get a bit more today.

Hope you all have a great day on this one of the last countdown days!

Well, 'Star, you're not in real trouble until you see the mouse chasing the cat!

Good Morning, my SINGLE DIGIT Friends!!

Yes, that's right!
Days to Christmas Day: 9
Fantastic! Just Fantastic!!
365 down to nine.
(There's just something special about lone digits, isn't there?)

Chilly at this hour here in Raleigh, where we stand at just over 40 degrees under sunny skies.
No precip predicted for the next few days.
Great time to take a (brisk!) walk.

OK, Guys!
It's the peak-of-the-week again.
Next to the last time to meet at the Shispering Pines before Christmas.
Holiday, Carl and I will be there waiting with cool eggnog and warm cookies for anyone who wants to take in the view to the weekend from the rooftop deck.
Lounge chairs with heavy blankets are available,
Christmas music will be played,
Carl is wearing a wreath on each hump,
And the 'Pines is all decked out in holiday splendor.
You should see it!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Friends!

Wow from triple digits to double digits and now we are just 9 days away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I worked late last night and got all but 4 of my new stores done. I was thinking about doing them tomorrow but I may put them off to monday. Today I am going to try to knock out some of my candies. I have already made my truffle mixture and it is currently cooling in the fridge so I can roll it into balls. I also want to make up another batch of hard candy today. Then I will move on to making orange and cherry cream centers to dip into chocolate and homemade marshmallows. If I can get all of that done today I should be in good shape to finish everything on my list. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So little time and still so much to do! Kids get out on the 23rd yay! atleast I'll have until then to finish up everything. They have half a day today and tomorrow for Parent/Teacher Conf's.They did amazing on their report cards,im a very proud Mum.:)
It's freezin here.stay warm friends! have a great day!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Binger'll like this: I've been trying out a couple different coffee blends, but my favorite for now is a straight-up french roast. Wow! That'll put some hair on your teeth!

We're still running around like crazy, trying to get ready for Christmas. The kids' homework schedule has kicked into overdrive, too. I'm about ready to tell the teachers what I think of them. :-? At least the kids are out after a half-day on Friday.

I hope you are all having a great day!cheesy

Gee whiz!
Don't encourage them, Brad!

The cat caught the mouse!! Then my son took it away from her and brought it upstairs to try and show me how cute and small it was....ahhhh, he knows I do not like mice!! He released the little critter outside and then complained that it was too cold out there for it. :-? (trying to make me feel bad, but it did not work!!)

So, my house is now mouse free...I hope

I hope so too, Christmasstar. They are very cute, but they're also very destructive. I hope you gave your kitty a nice treat!

I could strangle my Husband right now.I go to school for parent/teacher Conf's,I come back and Douglas says I know what you got me for Christmas,Mum.! Ah,what? Douglas found His gift from SANTA!!! Ya know the one he wrote a letter too,and sat upon his knee and told him that is what he wanted.
Im so darn mad that steam's comming from my ears!!!

Oh, that's not good - I can see you fizzing from here!!! This leads to several questions

a) where was your husband during the great present hunt??

b) what did you say to your son?? (has Santa just dropped it off early to make more room in the sleigh?)

c) do you get him another present?

Take deep breaths and get back to me!

Actually, each year's goal is just to better the prior year's total.
But 8,000 is a good round figure for 2009!

These are things you have to take with a grain of salt and a touch of humour.

The little guy is growing up and getting better at hide and seek. Now you have to one up him and be more crafty at hiding gifts.

When my kids would find a gift, I would return it and get them something else. That way they would still be surprised.

If they asked what happened to the other gift, I would tell them it disappeared, that is what happens to gifts that are seen before Christmas.

Hubby was sleeping on the couch! my bedroom door was not shut, and the ding dong just put the dam gift under the bed and didn't even bother to cover it up! omg I could kick him in his darn Pecans!!!

Anyhow,I said I bought the gift before he told Santa, and Santa will bring him another item he asked for.I really was shocked and really ticked off.He didn't even take the time to hide it,douglas walked by and saw it under the bed.Like I mean right there towards the edge.I walked by and I could see it.He has never found his santa gift, I hope I did the right thing and said He'll get something else from him.BTW,Anyone have a dog house my hubby cold borrow?

Still no snow but at least it's cold today:cry:

Even more snow here today!! It was blowing pretty hard when I was out this afternoon. I went to purchase two digital cameras from Future Shop, but they're sold out... All throughout Central Canada. Oh no!!! One was to be for my dad, the other my brother (from my mom). I guess SINGLE DIGITS is not a good time to wait until to purchase digital cameras.

I am excited for tonight though. After nearly two years and massive renovations, my favourite bar is re-opening! Tonight is their VIP night with drink specials and a live band. It costs $10 to enter, but I am thankful that the new owners worked hard and have re-opened the bar for the Christmas season. I have no problem paying $10 as a sign of gratitude, even if I am only here for around three weeks a year. Hopefully a Wednesday night will bring good times!!

I hope that everyone enjoyed their first single digit day. I can't believe that tomorrow is only 8 days away. I am actually now closer to leaving the Sault to return to Ottawa. Oh well. Time flies.... Keep enjoying the Christmas Season, everyone. This time of year couldn't get any more beautiful up here!!
