How is it 8:20 PM on the night before Christmas?! My mom and her husband are currently arranging the basement table for Christmas Dinner. Of course, I am doing my best to help by staying out of their way and typing on the computer!

Well, I am back from the in-laws Christmas party. We finished early this year, which I am happy about. I have already been tracking Santa so I will know when he is near. We have to make sure we are asleep before he gets here.

cheesy Checking in from the Merry North!

Ding-dong, Auntie Calling!

I'm sure there's traffic out there, but I only see two of us on at present.

I just got back from my parent's place half an hour ago.

The annual luminary lighting went smoothly. It's mild enough that I'll be checking to see if there are any candles still lit by morning. Chances are my dad will have collected all the bags before we head over there to see what Santa brought.

Every year I have hung snowflakes on the ceiling over the table on Christmas eve so that Christmas morning at breakfast there is a magical feel to the room. As most of you know, we recently moved and my new place does not like snowflakes. Half of what I have put up has already fallen. (smooth ceiling that I do not want to put tacks in as the holes will show, so used that tacky stuff instead) ...there goes another one!!

Any suggestions??

I'm not the best decorator.

I'm watching It's A Wonderful Life, but already feel my eyelids drooping. :-?

I just finished watching Elf for the first time this Christmas Season. I love that movie. It certainly made me even more excited for tomorrow!!

Glue? That's a real tough call...

:hello: I have to share what happened while we were lighting the luminaries.

I heard the sound of sleigh bells and looked up in the sky. I got caught by one of my dad's Bridge buddies who was experiencing the luminaries for the first time. He said, "what are you lookiing for?" I said, "I'm quite sure I hear the sound of sleigh bells and I just had to look." He smiled and said, "they're coming from the door of that house" as he pointed across the street. I said, "well this is a night for believing and to be honest it's not the first I've looked up tonight." He just laughed.

Star, what about those 3M removable hooks? They should work, but I don't know if you would have any?!

I love it! It is a special night for the unexpected!

That's beautiful! Last night, I actually saw a meteor fly very close to the ground and burn out. It was a fascinating site. One that I probably will never experience again. Of course, I thought "Santa." Too bad it was last night, though!

I didn't care that much for ELF the first time I saw it, but I liked it the second time I saw it. Not sure why.

 I'm on vacation next week and plan on watching some animated Christmas specials.

It gets better each time I watch it. Tonight was probably the 20th time I have watched it and I still found myself laughing hysterically at a few parts.
