He decided to go out of town for a couple days hunting, and asked me to open the store for him. This consists of getting there at 6am, and cooking a bunch of bacon, sausage and egg bisquits before the store opens at 7am. Now I'm at my regular job. Whew! I feel like I've already worked a full day.

It has been a busy day here in central indy. My boss is allowing me to work some overtime so I can hopefully get to most of my out of town accounts before the next major snow storm hits us on monday. I left early this morning and got alot done and then I had to babysit this afternoon while my sister took my brother in law to the docotor. I am going to kick back and relax tonight and get ready to head out early again tomorrow. I hope everyone has a GOOD NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a principal, I would throw a fit if one of my teachers ever diagnosed a kid or even made the statement "they need medicine" to a parent for various reasons....

1. We are teachers, not doctors. Doctors don't come teach Spanish, we don't discuss health issues.

2. When a teacher makes that statement, the burden and expense of having the medical examination done becomes that of the school.

While some kids are a little more wild (nothing wrong with that) than others, most of the time it comes down to teacher classroom management. If there is structure and procedures in place, then it usually is a good environment.

On the other hand, my best friend has a niece who can't function or focus without having her meds. She isn't running around the room tearing down the curtains, but she does have a problem focusing. So in some cases, it is true.

ADD/ADHD is, in my humble opinion, the most over-diagnosed health issue out there right now. That's frustrating for me as a teacher and a principal.

Good morning and Happy Friday to you all!

I had to laugh at myself for feeling like this week was just dragging along...normally, I'm so suprised at how fast the days go by, but this week??? Nope. I know it's because I was so looking forward to my days off. It's just so funny how one's perception changes when you feel like you can't wait for something!

Well, anyhow, it's finally Friday...just one more day of classes for me; oh boy, did I have a tough private lesson yesterday! Talk about feeling achey! My legs were like mush at the end...woke up today feeling every muscle in my body and ones I didn't know I had! LOL

Oh well...I'm sure everyone has those days where they feel pretty pooped out...so I won't complain!

I'll just wish you all a wonderful day and a great start to your weekend...whatever it may bring! :-D
