I have always wanted to go to Talladega, Bristol, and Daytona. One of these years I will actually get to do it. It looks like junior is going to race a #3 car in the nationwide race in july at daytona. It is going to be a tribute car for Dale Sr. getting in the hall of fame. cheesy

When I rode past Talladega on Wednesday, the parking lot was filled with RVs and campers. These folks actually camp out all week in the parking lot to see a race?

Got up this morning and my phone was not working, cable was not working and Internet was not working. (of course, I was not working yet ether, but that's another story!) Of course the first thought is "Did I pay my bill?".....paid. So I called on my cell phone (mistake, since I used up all my minutes doing so!) Found out there was a problem in the area and no one had these services. :-?
But, as you can see, it is all working now.

I am glad to see that they got it all working now!!!!!!!!!!cheesy

I love me some Friday! Gonna be a good one today! But tonight and tomorrow, the weather man is saying "WATCH OUT!" They say severe thunderstorms that move into the area WILL turn into significant weather events.....kinda makes me shudder. Anyways, I love a good storm, but I don't love a good significant weather event. Ugh!

They do!!!!!!! Practice started there yesterday for the Arca race and the nationwide race.

This April is not a good month for my family.....on Easter Saturday, my aunt died unexpectedly (she had cancer...but nobody knew...even she didn´t)....she got to the hospital Fridays and died less than a day later......today was her funeral....when my mother came she told me crying that her uncle has died as well.....these are tryin times

Happy early anniversary, Christmas-a-Holic!!!

No big plans here... just going to my parents' house tomorrow and then having a nice family day on Sunday. Hopefully some new houses will come on the market so we can get moving on buying another place! This being in limbo thing is a little tough!

Good morning Christmas buddies! I have a lot of posts to catch up on. I have been quite busy at work and at home. I have off Wednesdays now and thought I would have more time but am just as busy as ever..with the house being a little cleaner and spending more quality time with my wonderful baby boys =0). We leave for Florida (Daytona Beach and Disney World) 2 weeks from tomorrow. Im so excited! Pretty nervous about traveling with a 8 month old though.. I hope its not too difficult. Does anyone have any advise for traveling with an infant and toddler? Evan just turned 3 and Dylan is 8 months now!

Xmas365.. We are going to Disney World in 2 weeks! We are only going for the day because we are staying in Daytona Beach..also my boys are 3 and 8 months and I know there wont be a whole lot they can do at this age but I still think my 3 year old will have a great time at Disney! We will be spending the rest of our week at the beach!

We flew to North Carolina when my younger son was 10-11 months old and he slept most of the way the hum and motion of the plane kept him out, and he was on my lap the whole way. If he uses a pacifier make sure he is using it especially during takeoff and landing to help relieve the pressure in his ears. My older son was 3 kept him next to the window so he could watch everything going on and packed plenty of snacks and books and some small toys to keep him busy, I think he slept part of the way also.

Oh good, thanks so much for the advice! He does take a pacifier and I was thinking either that or give him a bottle while we are taking off. We bought both the boys tickets because we are going to take their carseats on the plane since we are renting a car in Florida that way we wont need to rent carseats! Your older son was ok ears wise? That is really the only thing Im worried about for both of them. My 3 year old is in love with planes, he knows all of the names as they are flying over by the colors and says he wants to be a pilot so as long as his ears arent bothering him I think he will be in Heaven!

My sister takes a portable dvd player and lots of videos when they travel anywhere. It never hurts to have lots of snacks on hand also. cheesy

I have always wanted to camp out at the races. The atmosphere there is incredible and so fun just to be able to go to the races. Also it's a good idea to camp to avoid all that traffic to and from the races if you plan to go to both races Saturday and Sunday. Talladega is a track I have always wanted to go to! Maybe one day I will. cheesy

WOOHOO I just heard the first mention of christmas in july on QVC. They said that they are getting ready for it. Hopefully it will be an all weekend event again this year.

Coach- Junior looked pretty good today in practice. Tomorrow doesn't look to great for qualifying but that is okay since he is 7th in points.

made.. last year the QVC show was the best ever and I knocked out alot of my holiday shopping and then got the bug and went tothe mall and did some more.... I really knocked plenty out already though- I hit the sales after Christmas and am done with about 60% of it. Good to know they are getting ready.
