Hope you feel better soon, trackrebel.

This year has certainly flown by so far. I finally cleaned out my garage yesterday. It was filled with Christmas decorations that we just placed in the garage without placing too much emphasis on packing it. Yesterday, we finally packed it all up and placed it in storage. It took 5 months, but my garage is finally clean. I love decorating for Christmas, but I loathe taking down the decorations and packing them up. 6 more months to go before bringing them out of storage again. If that 6 months goes as fast as the year has flown so far, then it will be here before I know it.

Good Morning MMC !

How is everyone on this mid week day? cheesy

Very wet and chilly here, seems more like April weather than may. my back yard needs help, but it is to wet to get any work done out there yet.

But, gotta go, bus to check, kids to pick up then a charter to drive (just in town, so this is a short one)

have a fantastic day everyone!!

Morning friends! Track, get to feelin better!

Gonna be a busy few days. Gotta leave town tomorrow, but must do many other things before I leave. Called the hotel where I'm staying and they said there is free wireless internets, so we will see.

Have a great day today!

Here you go:
Days to the Season: 185
Days to Christmas Day: 227
Wowzers, just wowzers! Look how close we are to being half way back around to the Christmas Season again!
May 15. Less than half a week off. Mark your calendars!

Overcast here again, although with only a 20% rain chance.
We stand at 64 degrees, currently.

OK, guys! Middle of the week. Hump Day. The Shispering Pines. Carl.
Be there with Holiday and me or be a square coffee bean.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!

Hope you feel better track!!

My days are all messed up. Was off Monday to go see my step-daughter graduate from college, so yesterday felt like Monday all day to me.

Back to my step-daughter, she may not be my daughter by birth, but I am as proud as any father would be of her. Just in the 6 years I have known her, she has really turned her life around. Went to college to be a medical assistant, was on the dean's list with a 4.0 GPA and perfect attendance. Now she has a job teaching at the same college she graduated from. All this while raising 2 boys and giving birth to her daughter. She is a great person, and I am proud to call her my daughter, forget the step stuff.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Track, glad you are feeling better!

Last night we invited ourselves to Nancy's mom's for dinner. Our stove is still in storage waiting on the floors to be put in. About the time we were getting ready to head home to get homework, baths, bed, etc., a Rainbow Vacuum salesman stopped by. He'd been recommended to my MIL by a friend of hers. The friend gets a gift of some sort from Rainbow if the salesman gets to show his equipment to someone else. So, we got stuck in a 1.5 hour sales pitch. Ugh. We didn't get out of there till 9:30pm, and only because we just said we had to go, not because he was finished.

Suffice it to say, I'm NOT buying a Rainbow. :-?

But, it's a beautiful day here in south GA. I hope you all have a great one! cheesy

It is so painful to get stuck in a sales pitch when you know from the beginning you are not interested.

A few weeks ago we had a young man come to our door while I had my 3 grandkids and daughter over. He was trying to talk me into switching my electricity plan. I actually was interested but I told him to give me a business card and I would check back with him. I am not an impulse shopper, I like to do a little research before I do stuff like this. I tried to explain I have company and was very distracted at the moment. He wouldn't let up! I also said I really wanted to talk to my husband and see what he thinks. He wanted me to switch RIGHT THEN and then I could talk to my husband later and call to have it canceled if we didn't want it. At this point I had no interest in it even if it was free! His persistence on this didn't work anymore. I finally ran him off but he shows up again AS SOON as my husband pulls up in the driveway from work and said, "oh good, I can talk to you both now." I just flat out said we don't want it but thanks for dropping by. He tried to start the sales pitch again and I stood firm and said no but thanks anyway. I was trying to be polite but it was hard. When we came in the house my hubby thanked me and said he just wanted to come home and relax and not deal with a sales man.

Good morning, everyone!

A little windy today, but the sun is shining! It's currently 10C (50F). I have a few tasks to perform today, one includes picking up my Grad photos. The only problem is that I am waiting for a phone call from an employment agency. I've worked for them before and the woman is extremely good at finding me work - for some reason I have difficulty finding work, too. Hopefully she'll be of some assistance today.

Not much else to say, really. Glad you're feeling better, Track... and Brad, I am sure that you're excited to have a home cooked meal in your own house very shortly!! The halfway to the season mark is so close!!

Have a great Wednesday, everyone! The weekend is on the other side of lunch!

LOL sounds like us and our garage. A lot of out outside decorations are up in the garage. When we took them down it was too cold to stay outside to tear them down and pack them up so we just stuck them in the garage. Will ahve to work on getting them tore down and packed up in the next couple weeks. Can't wait to bring out to decorate again.

checking in. i haven't been on since march. i think. Got a new job. different schedule.
All i know is that thinking back to Christmas feels like it was still just a few weeks ago. It is already May. That is a mighty big chunk.

Hoping to get on here more often this summer. It's always fun for me to think about the holidays on hot summer evenings. Then it will be soon fall...

I detest sales people who come to my door. Last one we had was 2 summers ago. A couple of guys pulled up in a car with out of state tags.... first cause for alarm... They are not professional dresses, no business cards, no ID on their car .... more causes for alarm. One guy comes up to our house trying to sell us a safe and natural cleaner. I was polite and told him thanks but no thanks. Hubby and kids were there too. he kept going on and on and on. After 10 mihutes and telling him no several times I informed him that I was trying tobe nice because my kids were present HOWEVER they can be sent to another room therefor giving me reason to be no longer polite. After a few heated words were exchanged along with the mention me calling the police he left, got back in his car and left the area. Had I gotten tha tag number I would have called the police but he parked the car to far for me to get the tag #. Never seen them again.

Last evening it was chilly and wet out. The kids and I curled up on the sofa, me drinking hot cider and my daughter drinking hot cocoa, we watched Mickey's Twice apon a Christmas. It was real nice. Afterwards my daughter starts talking about what she wants to do this upcoming season. Of course I took a mental note of it so I can plan some family activities around some of things she wants to do.

That sounds like such a nice evening! It's sooo dreary today, too.. nice day to cuddle.

My son and I snuggled on the couch last night and watched "Toy Story..." Should've watched a Christmas movie! Maybe we will tonight :)

I am the same way. I don't mind putting them up but I hate it when I have to take it all down and pack it away.
