My grandson has been sick so I took him to the doctor yesterday because my daughter was at work. I told her I could take him since she just started her job. He has pneumonia. :-? He is not in critical shape, he is still eating good and has some energy off and on through the day so he should get better soon. He is on 4 different medications right now.

I hope he feels better soon!!!!!!!!cheesy

You know what I hate? I can't stand when someone calls early on Saturday morning (like 6:30) and wakes you up!

holy crap....now these are a few weekends of stress, huh?

not much on the plate here, until July 22nd....then...Kandice and I are driving the train up to north Germany to take the ferry to the NorthSea island Amrum.......every since she was three weeks old....she´s had severe cases of bronchitis....she´s been in hospital twice........now we applied for some type of rehab for her....and it was granted....4 weeks on that island in a clinic.....it´s up there, cos of the good air that helps to heal her........all being paid by an insurrance everyone here has....looking forward to that, first because it helps...and second...because I can show my babygirl the ocean for the first time

Well it has been a busy couple of days. I had to babysit all day yesterday while my sister ran her garage sale and then my niece had to come home with me to stay the night. My sisters neighbor was supposed to come over today and help her but got sick so my sister called me at midnight last night to ask if we could come again today. It wasn't much fun trying to get my niece up at 6:45 this morning but we managed to get out to my sisters house in time. I ended up taking my nieces around in the wagon to some of the other garage sales in the community while my sister and mom ran her garage sale again. A little after noon it started to storm so we had to hurry up and tear everything down. It was the worse community garage sale we have ever seen. There were allot of people having sales but hardly anyone out shopping. Over the 2 days my sister made a total of $40 dollars compared to the $400 to $500 that she normally makes. When I left my sisters house I headed to the horse track for my neighbors birthday party. His kids rented out the banquet hall on the third floor that overlooks the track since he loves to go there and bet the horses. We watched some of the live races and also the Belmont stakes. It was a great evening with lots of great food. I had only eaten at the bar downstairs before and was impressed with the buffet they have for the club members upstairs. I didn't win any money at the horse track but I stopped at the casino on my back to the car and managed to win $23 dollars on a Texas Tea machine. I finally made it home a about an hour ago and when I turned on the news I learned that we are now under a tornado watch all night. So hopefully it doesn't get to bad out tonight.

I forgot to say that the best part of the day was I picked up 3 new santas for a quarter a piece to add to my collection. There was another garage sale that had 5 different santas that I loved but they wanted $10 a piece for them and I refused to pay that much. I am already regretting not buying one of them that I really loved but the people didn't even have batteries in them to show that they still played music and I just wasn't going to spend that much on it without knowing if it worked.

hi my friends......short night of sleep....but funnyly i don´t seem to be needing so much sleep no more since two weeks...mjuch more active and awake...lol

today the weather is still great.....we will hit 30 degrees the first time this year. our zoo here has it´s yearly summerfest....so we will go there...prob won´t see many animals, cos they all hide cos of the heat....but they got a nice playground and many things set up for the kids this weekend.

Our local relay for life event raised over $265,000.00, my team came in fifth place for raising the most funds. I had a goal to run one lap around that quarter mile track and wound up running six. Woot! Woot! :

Good Morning, Friends.

Last day with no A/C!
It was warm and humid all night. Slept with the windows open and a fan on. Not too bad.
The interior temp gradually dropped from 89 to about 84 by morning.
It will be on the way up again shortly since we are back up to 80 outside already with lots of sun.

Our count, and approaching Milestone:
Days to the Season: 160
Days to Christmas Day: 202
Tuesday - day after tomorrow - the 200-Day Christmas marker.

Well, good morning my fun loving Christmas friends! The coffee is going, I'm watching a little Nascar, and reading the boards....WHAT COULD BE BETTER?
The only thing that I can think of is if the season were here, but it will be before long.

Never made it outside yesterday because of a slight detour. Then, the wife and I had to run to a town nearby and we got back at dark. However, here shortly I will get out there and work.

I am home from the early church service and getting ready to kick back and watch the nascar race coverage.
