Going to spend the day at a water park with a busload of kids from our church day camp. Is supposed to be another hot one here so it will be nice to have fun in the water!

Guess what I saw yesterday?!?! A house near my parents' all decked out for Christmas - lights on and all! And it's not a house that leaves the lights up year-round, so I couldn't help but think they were celebrating Christmas in July!!!! It made me soooo excited! My mom laughed at me when I told her how cool I thought it was!

Merry Christmas in July to you all! I think I will finally head over to the Hallmark store today, yay!

Good Morning Christmas Family !


Not much going on today. I am actually off for a whole day without having to type, other than on here of course ! It is still quite muggy outside but so far our old, old cooling system is holding. We are 1 more day closer to Christmas and that is great. In just a couple of months I will be putting my Hallowween stuff out. I just decorate my fireplace mantle and I have some other things I sit around in the house. Can't Wait !!

Weekend Eve is back again. And so soon. Wow!

Days to the Season: 120
Days to Christmas Day: 162
And as all can see, we are now under 3 weeks off from that all-important 100-day Season window, through which we will pass into double-digit territory.
(Christmas really is closer than you think!)

Nice, calm and sunny outside here in Raleigh at this hour.
Rain is supposed to move in this afternoon for several day.
Currenly, it is already 80 degrees. Not too muggy, though.

Well, my cable has been out for a couple of days and the cable service company says there are no other reports out in my area. Must be in my lines.
The repairman is expected here any minute.

Yawn....I'm so tired! I swear it was 130,000 F here today. Ok, that's exaggerating slightly, it was really 129,000. Went and did my running and when I got home I was drenched.

The Wife and I are about to head out first thing in the morning to head to a friend's family event. Should be a great time and I can't wait. I've got my bag packed and my laptop will go in it so I should see yall tomorrow night. However, since we are leaving so early I better get to sleep. See y'all tomorrow night!

Good evening all.

My son is doing well, he made it through the day with no Tylenol, and said he had no pain. He is still to rest most of the day, but went outside for an hour and went on his swing. I went bowling with a friend of mine I hadn't hung around with in many years, caught up on things and we are thinking of joining a bowling league in the fall (insert Kingpin joke here). We adopted another kitten out today, we have three left, but this one was tough on my wife, the kitten was her favorite, and we had decided to keep her, but we have had a hard time finding homes for them and that kitten is who the people chose they liked best. My wife was concerned we would be stuck with the four kittens decided to let her go, and she has regretted the decision since they left with her this afternoon. I know it was a painful decision on her part, and her slight depression is justified.

Its FRIDAY! My Husband bought me a pumpkin muffin from Panera bread this morning. It is so delicious and was a pleasant surprise that they have pumpkin already...just another sign that Fall isnt too far away! Its only me and 1 other girl at the office today so hopefully the day will go by pretty fast. Have a great Friday!

Good morning!!

I have been up since dawn and have already gotten a lot done - I work best when the humidity level is low.

We had a storm blow through yesterday afternoon - the thunder scared Maui, which I have never seen happen before. She wanted to hide, but I have trained her to stay close so that I can find her if we need to seek shelter or leave the house, so she did. She was quite tense, but I got her calmed down.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

I tried to cut the grass yesterday, but I had a flat on the mower. I tried to used the weedeater around the edges, but a storm came up. I guess yard work is out till the weekend. So, I was stuck working on the house with Nancy. LOL

All this talk about fall is putting me in the mood. I swear, I can sit in the a/c and look out the window, and almost convince myself it 60° instead of 98°...almost. Come on fall!

Well what was supposed to be a nice quiet afternoon turned into a 7 hour long babysitting job. My sister decided that she wanted to go meet some friends and my brother in law was on his way to Ohio to see Iron Maiden in concert. So I got chosen as the babysitter because I was home from work. My youngest niece didn't get her nap in and refused to take it once she got here. My oldest niece went in to the doctor for her check up before starting kindergarten this morning and got 4 shots. So she was convinced that she couldn't use her legs anymore and needed to be carried everywhere. They were pretty good most of the day but they were both getting quite grumpy the last hour or so. I was glad to see my sister get home when she did.

You are a busy man! My daughter teaches 10 hours a day, 4 days a week and my son-in-law works for a moving company and sometimes works that long as well but 6 days a week. I know what it like to have kids for long hours, I get my grandkids 40 hours a week unless their dad gets off early one day. I am glad she is off on Fridays, I need that rest! cheesy I hope you get some rest today.

We adopted another kitten out today, we have three left, but this one was tough on my wife, the kitten was her favorite, and we had decided to keep her, but we have had a hard time finding homes for them and that kitten is who the people chose they liked best. My wife was concerned we would be stuck with the four kittens decided to let her go, and she has regretted the decision since they left with her this afternoon. I know it was a painful decision on her part, and her slight depression is justified.

I meant to quote you on the kittens as well! That is so hard to adopt out an animal you fall in love with. We have the sweetest stray cat that hangs around our house and I am always looking for a permanent home for him but at the same time will be REALLY SAD if he finds a home. In my case, however, it's in the best interest of the cat to get him off the streets.

It is 4:36am...and time is marching on so I don't have a lot of time to chat this morning. Work...it's a livin'!

Poor Maui! My little chihuahua is frightened of storms. She is almost 10 years old and never got use to them. She will pace back and forth and will not let anyone comfort her. I would even get up in the middle of the night to sit with her but she didn't want to be bothered. My other chihuahua doesn't seem to mind them.

I had a very long night. My chihuahua kept making a coughing gagging sound, he does that sometimes but this one wouldn't let up. He sleeps in bed with us but when he would start coughing he would jump off the bed onto the floor. Maybe he is trying to keep from waking us up? Lol. I kept getting up in the middle of the night and sit with him and rub his back, it helped calm it down and he was able to get back to sleep for a little while. Then it would start back up and I would be back on the floor with him rubbing his back again. He had about 4 episodes of it last night. He is just fine now and seems happy! The only thing I can think of is that I try to treat their flea problem with chemical free products and NOTHING is working. I have been trying for 3 months but the fleas are taking over. I gave in yesterday and put Frontline on him and this started up. I am thinking he had a reaction to it.

Welcome to Friday. What a messed up schedule I have. I don't have weekends off now. They changed me to thursday friday off. Messed. But enough of that. heh. All this Fall talk is making me post a picture from last year 10/10/2009. My Wife, Son and I..wait...there it is. Music from my Christmas mp3 directory playing! hah what was I saying? Sorry haha. Anyways last year we went to Apple Land to get pumpkins. For those that live in London Ontario they probably know. You can go on a train or a horse and cart and pick pumpkins and apples. Quite nice in the fall. Anyways bellow is a picture of my Son and I from the pumpkin patch. We were quite disappointed that we didn't see the great pumpkin (Well he doesn't know yet hah). Enjoy the friday and try not to melt!
