Christmas Countdown - 2010

:arrow: It is distressing when there is something wrong with our pups! They are our children through and through! Last year my Mercedes (my Roddi) got really sick. After getting tests done, it was discovered that she has kidney disease! The vet said she has 3 months or 3 years to live (depending on how well she does on meds) Well...you can imagine that I completely fell apart! I thought she was going to die. But - the medication she is on (for the rest of her life) and the special low protein diet she is on is doing the trick! She just got blood work done a couple of months ago and the vet said to keep doing what we are doing for her - because she is doing so well!

Work was super busy today - and the end of the work-day came quickly! I am looking forward to visiting all of you more this weekend - here on MMC!

Thank you soooooooooo much, caninemom3!!! She will prove 'em all wrong, I'm sure! She is just such a lovable, happy and gentle baby (I call her "my baby" a lot cheesy)!!! I cannot tell you just how much I LOVE her!!!

Thank you so much !! You are so wonderful to have adopted one who could not see. You have such a big heart !!! Thank you for your kind comments about my furkids. They are really a BIG, no HUGE part of my happiness and Ivy is doing just great I call her our "$6,000 Chihuahua" !!!. She walks and runs and plays and you would never know she was EVER paralyzed !!

Oops! Re-reading what I typed I wrote that wrong. I was going to try and adopt the blind dog but they already found it a home by the time I inquired about it. I then got my chihuahuas since that one was not available. I have no problem adopting any animal with a disability.

To both ChristmasHeart and caninemom3 (or anyone else), you should hear me baby talk my dogs. They get lots of hugs and lots of baby talk! I am sure you can relate. cheesy My cats get the same as well as the stray cat outside, lol.

And yes...I can totally relate to baby-talk! Oh dear...if you could hear me do that with Mercedes...hahahaha! She perks right up when I use "that (baby talk) voice"...and she gets soooooooo happy!!! Oh...aren't pets the GREATEST!!! She likes to snuggle too - and I give her lots of hugs and kisses (and scratches behind the ear cheesy)! I think I will post some pictures of her here this weekend. Do you have pictures posted???

I had put a picture of my long haired chihuahua running through the snow somewhere in one of the threads. I don't remember which one, lol. When I get a chance I will upload some pictures.

I have to drop off the cake today, and I am way not ready. Since I am having an early breakfast I thought I would post here quick since I know I will not have time later.

After the cake is dropped off my mom and daughter and I are going thrift shopping before heading over to my nephews place for a BBQ.

Have fun with the family! My mom, daughter and I love to thrift store shop. I remember when smy daughter said it was dumb and she was embarrassed to be seen in a thrift store. I told her everyone else is here, how can they judge YOU for being here, lol. Now that she is grown, she loves them!

Well...I've already taken Mercedes for her walk. The only time I can do that these days is first thing in the morning because it just gets too hot later on.

Today will be my cleaning day. Listening to Christmas music is a definite MUST while I work away!

Other than that...I'll just take it as it comes.

Good Morning.

I hope they get it fixed!!!!!! Mine has been going crazy all morning. I keep losing all of my channels and my internet keeps going out. It seems the hotter it gets the more problems I have with it.

Yes they did --- with a bonus!

I have lived in my condo for over 23 years now. The place has 2 cable outlets, one in the living room and one in a back bedroom, which I use as a computer room. The cable outlet in that back room had never worked since I moved in. No matter. I just usually watched the living room TV but had a small one in the back room with an antenna.
Well lo and behold, after the repair yesterday, they both work!!
The guy said the line was just never connected inside the building's central box. Somehow the living room one also got disconnected a few days ago (probably accidentally when someone else moved out). He simply connected both and voila!

OK.

Wowzers! A scant 19 days to the 100-day window and less than 3 weeks to double digits to the Season.
