We went to Hobby Lobby today and they have LOTS of fall decorations out and quite a bit of Christmas decor as well.

I have got to get back to mine. Everytime I head that way I see the road construction I turn and go around it to avoid all the traffic. I will have to make myself deal with it this week so I can go check it out.

Just want to let you all know or remind you if you do know, tomorrow (Sunday) is National Ice Cream Day!

I hear a banana split calling me to come celebrate!!!!!!

Well it has been a pretty interesting day. I went and met some friends for breakfast this morning and had a great time catching up. Then I came home and found out my cable was out again and just about the time I got on here my internet went out to. I called comcast but they can't get here for almost 2 weeks. I had some shopping to do this afternoon and then I went out to dinner with the family. My sister's father in law always takes her out for her birthday and since it's my birthday to he just invites everyone to come along. Well this year with mom having just had surgery and my niece having her tonsils out on our birthday we didn't go. So he has been bugging my sister about setting a date for us all to go out for the last 2 months. So she chose today. Well we all met at the restaurant this evening and we had to wait 40 minutes for a table to become available. We had just got seated when the waiter came out and told us that we were going to have to leave the building because the bar area was on fire. About that time the fire alarm started going off and everybody started rushing for the door. We were outside for about 5 minutes when the manager came out and told everyone the fire was out and we could all come back inside. One of the sprinklers had apparently gone off while we were outside and soaked part of the bar area. It was still dripping water when we came back in and the staff was trying to clean up all the water on the floor. The manager apologized to everyone and said that they were just trying to provide a little bit of entertainment to go along with dinner. When we finally got our food it was great and everyone had wonderful time. We then headed back to my sisters house for awhile to chat and play with my nieces. On the way home it started to rain just a little bit but the real show was the lighting. It lasted for about 2 hours but it never really did storm. I was glad to fine that my internet was working when I got home even though most of my cable channels are still out. I am going to be one unhappy camper if I have to miss QVC"S christmas in july on next saturday because comcast is so slow to get around.

Why is it when I watch anything Christmas...I end up crying (happy tears) - no matter what it is! I guess my heart just fills up with so much happiness...that it overflows as (happy) tears from my eyes.

I do that with It's a Wonderful Life! I have seen that movie over 100 (probably over 200 times, lol) times and still get emotional. cheesy

Just want to let you all know or remind you if you do know, tomorrow (Sunday) is National Ice Cream Day! I just learned that this afternoon, but I do plan to celebrate it by going to my local creamery, and having a waffle cone full of probably Coffee ice cream.

I am allergic to dairy but it probably will not stop me from having my favorite dessert in the world, ICE CREAM! They have a dairy free ice cream that is really good but REALLY EXPENSIVE!

I was glad to fine that my internet was working when I got home even though most of my cable channels are still out. My precious little doggy woke me up! Lol. He was scratching like crazy and I called him over so I could check out what the problem was and he got excited and put his paw right in my eye! OUCH! He didn't mean to, he usually pats me with his paw in the morning but got my eye this time and I jumped. Now that I am up, he is sound asleep and no more scratching! Ha ha, gotta love him!

We are going to church then I am going to work afterward.

Days to Christmas Day: 160
Just over 2 1/2 weeks now to the 100-day Season window. Then we enter double digit territory when things really start to move quickly.
(Wouldn't hurt to locate and start dusting off that Christmas mood!)

We have sun with a gentle breeze here in Raleigh at this hour where my thermometer stands at 78 nicely walkable degrees.
Plenty of rain remains in the forecast, but we still need it.
(Of course there is a bright side to dry conditions - fewer mosquitoes. And I don't have to mow my father's lawn as often!)

Well, have a Super Sunday and a Rousing Rest of your Weekend, Folks.
Be sure to get all rested up to begin moving another week closer to Christmas!

We had our annual family reunion on my mom's side this weekend. Every reunion Sunday morning, a couple of my cousins and I cook breakfast for everyone who spends the night at the facility. I just got back from that, and I have a splitting headache. :-? It kept me up most of the night last night. Tylenol PM to the rescue tonight!

I hope so to!!!!! It is not going to be the same if I have to sit at the computer and watch it online. :-? They are not scheduled to come out until the 30th but I am hoping it is a problem in the main line and they get it fixed before then.

Well I am home from church and trying to decide what I want to do this afternoon. I need to spend a little bit of time cleaning but after that I don't really have anything to do. Oh...that is such a wonderful movie!!! One of my faves! You might not believe this...and, shhhhhhhh - don't let this get around...but I (happy) cry while watching Christmas cartoons too! :cry:

Oh my! Yup...ya gotta love him! Hopefully your eye isn't feeling too bad. What's the name of your doggy? You may have said it in another post - but I forget. Mercedes has a habbit of landing right on my toe! HA! She leaps and bounces when she's happy (if you can imagine a 85-90 pound Roddi leaping and bouncing cheesy).
