Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

I treated myself. I bought the first season of Ally McBeal! Its been sooooo long since I've seen that show and, at the time, it was my fave! The one thing I appreciated about that show is the their Christmas episodes. You know how most TV dramas or sitcoms dedicate only one Christmas episode during the season? Ally McBeal would start doing Christmas weeks in advance. I don't know...maybe 3 or 4 leading up to Christmas (I cannot quite remember...I just remember it was a lot - and it would always make me soooooooo happy)!

Well...this Merry Forums Elf, 2nd class - wishes you all a beautiful and merry day!!!

I appreciate the time line update and will also add that I think North Carolina is the best state in the U.S. Someday I hope to move my family there. Have a good day...
I like NC, too! I grew up in Fayetteville when my dad was stationed at Ft. Bragg, and we vacation in the NC Smoky Mountains several times a year. I think I'm at least an honorary tarheel!

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had our annual family reunion on my mom's side this weekend. Every reunion Sunday morning, a couple of my cousins and I cook breakfast for everyone who spends the night at the facility. I just got back from that, and I have a splitting headache. :-? It kept me up most of the night last night. Tylenol PM to the rescue tonight!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

I hope your head gets better !!! I know what that is like...UGH !!

Well it has been a pretty interesting day. I went and met some friends for breakfast this morning and had a great time catching up. Then I came home and found out my cable was out again and just about the time I got on here my internet went out to. I called comcast but they can't get here for almost 2 weeks. I had some shopping to do this afternoon and then I went out to dinner with the family. My sister's father in law always takes her out for her birthday and since it's my birthday to he just invites everyone to come along. Well this year with mom having just had surgery and my niece having her tonsils out on our birthday we didn't go. So he has been bugging my sister about setting a date for us all to go out for the last 2 months. So she chose today. Well we all met at the restaurant this evening and we had to wait 40 minutes for a table to become available. We had just got seated when the waiter came out and told us that we were going to have to leave the building because the bar area was on fire. About that time the fire alarm started going off and everybody started rushing for the door. We were outside for about 5 minutes when the manager came out and told everyone the fire was out and we could all come back inside. One of the sprinklers had apparently gone off while we were outside and soaked part of the bar area. It was still dripping water when we came back in and the staff was trying to clean up all the water on the floor. The manager apologized to everyone and said that they were just trying to provide a little bit of entertainment to go along with dinner. When we finally got our food it was great and everyone had wonderful time. We then headed back to my sisters house for awhile to chat and play with my nieces. On the way home it started to rain just a little bit but the real show was the lighting. It lasted for about 2 hours but it never really did storm. I was glad to fine that my internet was working when I got home even though most of my cable channels are still out. I am going to be one unhappy camper if I have to miss QVC"S christmas in july on next saturday because comcast is so slow to get around.

Oh my goodness !!! What a day !! I am so glad it all turned out okay !!!

I love the Smokies! I only resided in Raleigh for about four months a kid, but can still remember the ocean, the mountains and the smell of the pines and red dirt. Someday I will return, I'm quite sure....

Happy Ice Cream Day!

Another HOT one up here in my humble Western Massachusetts homestead, but after our dinner of BBQ chicken we will be celebrating National Ice Cream Day. My wife agrees we need to celebrate it. cheesy We took a walk up to the elementary school and let the kids play on the playgrounds for 90 min. this morning before it got to warm. Our microwave finally died last night, we have had it for 8 years (wedding gift) so we will be looking for a new one this week.
Have a great day!

Well, just made the quick trip home....unpacking, washing, packing again...and heading out in a day and a 1/2! Got up really early this morning for my trip home and I'm a little tired, so I'm going to take a nap. See y'all later!

Well I kicked back and watched The Santa Clause 2 this afternoon. It is definitely my favorite one of the series. Now I am thinking that I should run to the store and get everything I need to put together my Christmas book for next year while all of the school supplies are on sale. I may wait until tomorrow to do that though. I hope everyone is enjoying their sunday!!!!

That's a perfect way to spend the afternoon, made! I love The Santa Clause series! I still need to get the 3rd movie on DVD. The first one I've watched...I don't know...I'm guessing at least 100 times (no exaggeration)! I've really gotten into the 2nd one this year though.

What is your "Christmas Book"?

"I live my life as one big Christmas Eve & it just makes me happy, happy, happy!"

And that, my Christmas friends...is a "McBealism"

OMG If you LOVE SLEEP.. move there.. OMG OMG OMG

YABBA!

Nice weather here.... rode my bike to the coffee shop this AM.. I went by it 17 times....

YABBA!

I'm back from the cake competition...did not win anything. I expected that since I did not have enough time to do a thoroughly proper job on it.
Next year! cheesy

It was really hot in the shop and there where a lot of people there, but it was fun to be a part of it.

Well I am home from church and trying to decide what I want to do this afternoon. I need to spend a little bit of time cleaning but after that I don't really have anything to do. I might pop in a christmas movie since I am only getting 10 tv channels right now. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Isn't QVC a non cable channel? I see you get 10 channels but assuming you don't receive that one? That would be great if you get that one. cheesy

Oh...that is such a wonderful movie!!! One of my faves! You might not believe this...and, shhhhhhhh - don't let this get around...but I (happy) cry while watching Christmas cartoons too!
I'm telling! I get emotional too and don't tell anyone! cheesy Charlie Brown Christmas is a touching one when Linus quotes a scripture from the Bible telling Charlie Brown what Christmas is all about and at the end of the show as well. I get a little choked up. There are a few more but can't think of them at the time.

Oh my! Yup...ya gotta love him! Hopefully your eye isn't feeling too bad. What's the name of your doggy? You may have said it in another post - but I forget. Mercedes has a habbit of landing right on my toe! HA! She leaps and bounces when she's happy (if you can imagine a 85-90 pound Roddi leaping and bouncing cheesy).
My eye is fine. My boy dog is named Chico (the one that jumped on me) and my little girl chihuahua is named Meca. We also have 2 cats named Charlie and Gary. I also have 2 birds named Simba and the other Bailey after George Bailey of It's a Wonderful Life. A hamster named Cowboy, 2 mice Niven and Margaret and a turtle named Timmy.

Happy Ice Cream Day!
This is rarely mentioned in our house but about 20 minutes ago my husband said he was hungry for ice cream and I told him to go get some, it's Ice Cream Day! He didn't know that, lol. He is at the store now picking some up.

I have never done a Christmas book. Sounds like a good idea!

I'm sad you did not win - but happy that you had fun! I'm sure it is all very exciting! You know...I can cook quite well - but I've never gotten the hang of baking. I do tend to do a good job of burning baked goods though cheesy. So - I am appreciative of others who have a talent for baking! Next year you'll get 'em!
