Hi Brent! Nice to "meet" you. I guess I joined up with MMC while you were away. I bet you have a lot of reading to catch up on here!

Oh - and by the way...I'm a Leaf's fan...hahahaha!!!

Nice to "meet" you as well. Hope you've enjoyed your time on the board. Don't worry, I am not a Sens fan. Not a Leafs fan either. And, most certainly not a Habs fan....

Well it has been a pretty interesting day. I went and met some friends for breakfast this morning and had a great time catching up. Then I came home and found out my cable was out again and just about the time I got on here my internet went out to. I called comcast but they can't get here for almost 2 weeks. I had some shopping to do this afternoon and then I went out to dinner with the family. My sister's father in law always takes her out for her birthday and since it's my birthday to he just invites everyone to come along. Well this year with mom having just had surgery and my niece having her tonsils out on our birthday we didn't go. So he has been bugging my sister about setting a date for us all to go out for the last 2 months. So she chose today. Well we all met at the restaurant this evening and we had to wait 40 minutes for a table to become available. We had just got seated when the waiter came out and told us that we were going to have to leave the building because the bar area was on fire. About that time the fire alarm started going off and everybody started rushing for the door. We were outside for about 5 minutes when the manager came out and told everyone the fire was out and we could all come back inside. One of the sprinklers had apparently gone off while we were outside and soaked part of the bar area. It was still dripping water when we came back in and the staff was trying to clean up all the water on the floor. The manager apologized to everyone and said that they were just trying to provide a little bit of entertainment to go along with dinner. When we finally got our food it was great and everyone had wonderful time. We then headed back to my sisters house for awhile to chat and play with my nieces. On the way home it started to rain just a little bit but the real show was the lighting. It lasted for about 2 hours but it never really did storm. I was glad to fine that my internet was working when I got home even though most of my cable channels are still out. I am going to be one unhappy camper if I have to miss QVC"S christmas in july on next saturday because comcast is so slow to get around.

I hope your cable is fixed for Christmas in July on QVC!

Happy Ice Cream Day!

Another HOT one up here in my humble Western Massachusetts homestead, but after our dinner of BBQ chicken we will be celebrating National Ice Cream Day. My wife agrees we need to celebrate it. cheesy We took a walk up to the elementary school and let the kids play on the playgrounds for 90 min. this morning before it got to warm. Our microwave finally died last night, we have had it for 8 years (wedding gift) so we will be looking for a new one this week.
Have a great day!

I wasnt on MMC much this weekend and I missed Ice Cream Day..and Ice Cream is my favorite..I look for any excuse to eat it lol. Im glad to hear your Son is doing pretty good too!!

Well I kicked back and watched The Santa Clause 2 this afternoon. It is definitely my favorite one of the series. Now I am thinking that I should run to the store and get everything I need to put together my Christmas book for next year while all of the school supplies are on sale. I may wait until tomorrow to do that though. I hope everyone is enjoying their sunday!!!!

Sounds like a great idea cheesy

Ooops...my computer was doing funky things - and I guess that's why my reply above posted twice. I posted it once - and then got an error, so I posted again...et voila...two posts!

I hope you all had a great Sunday! I cannot believe that the weekend is coming to an end.

I've got a broken-up week coming up. I've got Tuesday off for some medical tests to be done - and then I have Friday off to pick up my darling, adorably cute granddaughter, Emma! She will be spending the weekend! I am sooooooooooo EXCITED!!! We have so much fun together - and I get to be a kid again! I CANNOT WAIT!!! I wish she could be here more often.

Anyway...my Christmas friends - the weekend with you was fun! "Seems we just get started and before you know it...comes the time we have to say...so long" (Carol Burnette). Its sad I cannot be here on MMC that much during the work-week...but I do stop in to say "hi" to you all - and catch up with you at least once during each evening.

Be well...keeping smiling...and have sweet dreams of Christmas!

Hugs!

I hope you have a wonderful week and a great time with your GrandDaughter!

I was driving home the other day and noticed a restaurant with a sign saying "Merry Christmas in July" ! They are offering a turkey dinner with all the trimmings this month. Yum, maybe we will head out there for supper!

That is so cool I would try to eat there a few times this month lol

Rode BY it 17 times. Oh, come on!
(Wait a minute. They mean they STOPPED 17 times. Oh, now I get it!!)

Good Morning, Everyone.

Yet another week is here. And we are past the half way point of July already. The year is just flying by.
And another thing that's flying is the count:
Days to the Season: 117
Days to Christmas Day: 159
Under 2 1/2 weeks now to the 100-day Season window, then double-digits to Christmas Season 2010!

Overcast with a breeze and a 50% chance of rain.
Gradually dryer as the week progresses.
We stand at just under 80 degrees, currently.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Friends!

It feels so good to return to this countdown after almost three weeks. The time has certainly flown by. It's nice to see we're just over two weeks away from 100 days to the Season. The double digits fly by after that! Thanks for the updates, Crown!!!

Goodmorning and its Monday AGAIN~ the best way I look at Monday is its a week closer to our favorite time of the year! I am off of work tomorrow and Wednesday so my week should go by nicely. We celebrated my Mom's Birthday on Saturday with a nice steak dinner and of course a yummy Birthday cake! Yesterday the Boys and I went swimming over my best friends house. Not much else going on..getting things together for my Son Dylan's 1st Birthday which will be here the middle of August! Wishing for some cooler weather..Im tired of the high 90's :-?

I also cannot believe how close we are to the double digits and it cant get here soon enough. I like the last 60 days of the countdown to go by nice and slow LOL but until then let the time keep rolling cheesy

Welcome back!!! You went on a train trip, right?

Thank you! I most certainly did. We traveled from Prague to Amsterdam on a City Night Train. There were five of us and we had a six person coach to ourselves. It took more than double the amount of time as driving would have taken, but we were able to enjoy the Czech and then German countryside before dawn. We arrived in Berlin at about midnight. Unfortunately, we were all asleep by then. I managed to stay awake for the outskirts, but was too exhausted otherwise. We arrived in Amsterdam at about 11:30 the next day.

Overall, the train was enjoyable. I was very excited to see the German countryside. It's beautiful! I took plenty of pictures but have not yet had any time to upload. Kim and I did not arrive home from Toronto (she came down for the weekend) until almost midnight last night. Now, I am back at work...

The sleep on the train was all right. A few awakenings, but that is expected. I slept on the top bunk and had no real problems. I highly recommend train trips in Europe. They are clean and fun. Kim and I actually traveled by train from Toronto to Ottawa last night, too. She took the train down on Friday afternoon, I came back with her last night. This train was certainly not as comfortable. Just chairs. No beds. Still, both train trips were fun. Much better than a bus!!

Certainly! I am on board for that. I actually had a dream last night that it was November 28th and I had not yet listened to Christmas music. That made it more of a nightmare! I could not believe how I had forgotten. Somewhat luckily, I woke up and realized it was just a dream and I would not make such a silly mistake in real life. Moreover, I think this was brought on by the fact that music at the Royal York hotel in Toronto constantly sounded like an instrumental version of "Sleigh Ride."

Glad you had fun on Mom's birthday!

I LOVE TRAIN TRAVEL! My husband and I just went to Chicago by train over the 4th of July weekend and I had the top bunk. I sleep very well on the train. It rocks me to sleep. cheesy I bet it's beautiful where you traveled! Not much for us to see going to Chicago and back but I have been on the California Zephyr before that takes you through the Colorado Mountains. That's amazing!

Monday is blah for most but it's my day off! No work and no babysitting. My daughter has the week off so I don't have my grandkids this week and I don't go to work at my job until Sunday. I am going to try and get a lot done!

Good morning! Happy Monday! :) Just dropping in to say hello! It's hard to believe that THIS weekend is Christmas In July!!!! :o

Christmas-A-Holic - ENJOY your week! Sounds wonderful!

Welcome all to Monday. My days are all messed up since I'm now working on the weekends and have thursday/friday off. A friend of mine passed away. Steven Bedford always looked at life with a joke for everything. We are trying to stay happy because thats what he would have wanted. He was 34 years old. 3 years older then I am. He will be missed!

Oh. I also saw in the Michaels flyer they have fall scarecrows out! Weeeee. My Wife comes to know my crazyness for Holidays and accepts it. I asked if there was any Christmas crafts in there but She said no :( hehe. Soon soon. Just listening to Christmas music right now. Going to visit my Mom Thursday and Friday in Windsor. Should be fun because we are going to go see the Sorcerers Apprentice. Well time to go and get something to eat. Hope you all have a great day!

Hi everyone!! I have finally returned from my two week and a half trip! It seems like I left so long ago. I must say that I missed this forum and everyone on it! I can't wait to re-join the count tomorrow morning. As for right now, I am completely exhausted. Not sure how much I will be able to catch up, but I look forward to see how everyone is doing now that I have returned!!

All the best!
Glad to have you back, Brent! Get some rest. cheesy

Somebody's gonna have to explain to me how to do the multi-quote thing. I'm not usually this dense, but it has fooled me!

EAT: Nevermind, I finally figgered it out. LOL!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I worked all weekend and had a 3 day family reunion going on, too. I gotta say, I'm glad to be back at my regular job!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. All the best to his family and friends.

Scarecrows, already? Christmas will soon be filling up those flyers. How exciting!

Glad to have you back, Brent! Get some rest. cheesy

Thanks, Brad. Rest is much needed. Unfortunately, due to work and sports, I do not think I will be able to sleep in at home until this weekend.

According to last year's count, we are four month and three days ahead of schedule!! That's right, the 6396th post last year was on the Fourth Day of the Christmas Season!! We are soaring to new heights this year!

Welcome Back and we missed you to!!!!!!!!!!!cheesy

I sure hope it works. It's so important NOT TO MISS QVC's Christmas in July! cheesy Didn't you mention another channel having a Christmas in July sale? I forgot what day you said. I am sure I could go through all the post but my take me some time to find, lol.

I will be missing sunday since I am going to the nascar race but I will find a way to watch it saturday even if it means sitting in front of the computer all day and watching it online.

ShopNBC is having a christmas in july sale on Wednesday. I think this is their first year doing christmas in july so I don't know what it will be like. The good thing is that they are one of the 10 channels that I am still getting. cheesy
