I love a good thunder storm, so neat to watch the lightening and listen to the rolling thunder!
Years ago when I lived in Smithers B.C., I lived at one end of town and my girlfriend at the other (of course, 26 years ago this was a place you could drive across in about 10 min if you did not have to stop!) Anyway, when a storm would roll in we would get on the phone and give each other details of what we saw as they usually came in from her end. cheesy
That's funny, I love a good thunderstorm, too. I like to rock on the front porch during a storm (assuming it's not a hurricane!). We always did that when I was a kid, but Nancy and the kids don't care for it. Wonder why? cheesy

I wanted to tell you of a treat I had tonight for the first time. Has anyone ever had fried pickles? Wow.
They are one of my favorites! Down here in the south, we fry everything. I like fried jalapenos, too...and fried chicken, pork chops, cubed steak, squash, okra, taters...man, you got me hungry! I better warm up the oil!

And don't forget the fired twinkies!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was 34°F this morning. It's getting warmer! Since it's not going to snow, warmer is better.

Ballcoach has made me hungry. I'm going to find a honey bun to go with my coffee. Be right back!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Good Morning, Friends.

Well, the uptick in the weather has come.
We got up to 57 yesterday and are supposed to hit 60 today.
Currently, we stand at 30 under cloudy skies, so it still feels rather cold for the moment. No wind, however.

Our Eve-of-the-weekend count:
Days to the Season: 302
Days to Christmas Day:344
Wow! The 300-day Season window is the day after tomorrow!
Then, just watch those Milestones come and go!

Have a Fabulous Friday, Folks.
Keep that Christmas song in your heart and the Spirit of the Season with you as you sail into the weekend this afternoon!

TGIF Jeff and be careful in that fog.

Happy, Happy FRIDAY!!!!!!! :D :-D

We finally got back outside for our morning walk today!!! 1st time all year!!! And we were ROASTING!!!!! I couldn't believe it! I have never thought of 34º as "warm" before!!! LOL!! Guess we got use to dressing for temps in the teens or lower!!! Our snow is starting to melt. I'm seeing brown grass in spots!!! :-?

Have a great weekend, everyone!!

I am a little slow getting around today. I woke up at 6AM to go work and felt terrible. So I took some nyquil and went back to bed. I got up about noon and I feel better now but still have a nasty cough. I plan on just laying around the rest of the day and relaxing. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to Bizarre American Holidays website: (should be international cheesy)

January 15 is . . . . Hat Day

I will wear a hat the rest of the day to celebrate. cheesy

Watching my # of posts and I'm getting close to 1000! That will come this weekend. Kinda cool. I believe my friend Made had it done in a week. What an overachiever!

Coach my job just gives me alot more time to enjoy this wonderful place. My posting rate has slowed down since thanksgiving. I have not been playing the games everyday like I was before. I need to get myself back into a routine that gives me more time to spend here.

I have never tried fried pickles but if I ever see them I will make sure to try them.

I always sit out on the front porch when a thunderstorm comes over. My neighor will usually come out and join me and his wife thinks that we are crazy. We did go in one time last year when the shingles started ripping off of the apartment building. I have been through three tornados. The first one in a tent while camping with the boy scouts. The second one my mom still had her house and I was living there. I was watching out the front window as the tornado went across the corn field on the other side of the street heading straight for our house but it lifted when it hit the road in front of our house. The third I was working at autozone and the tornado came through the building right behind our store. Pieces of that building landed on ours but the only damage it did to our building was put a few small holes in the roof. There was no one in the other building at the time luckly because it was destroyed. I have managed to stay away from them for about 8 years now and I hope it stays that way.

Wow!
Mother Nature owes you a break!
I've only seen one - a waterspout down in the Florida Keys about 35 years ago.

We took 5 busloads of kids from one school ice skating today. It was fun to sit and watch them! cheesy
Those little ones just learning to skate are so cute!!

Good Afternoon....My work day is over. Time to relax a bit before starting some dinner. Hope you all had a good day and a wonderful weekend.
