They're selling sweet corn. The first sign of fall...
Speaking of fall: The Rite Aid in my town has all their harvest stuff set up it is nice to see it. Christmas stuff in a few weeks?

what happened to QVC, I thought Christmas in July ran through today?
YABBA!
The sales are still on, but they are not broadcasting it anymore...! Darn!
I dug out my family christmas DVD last night for a quick watch. I usually like to watch it when it is dark and snowy out and the only light other than the TV is the lit Christmas tree, but every now and then I'll dig it out to brighten my mood.
Every Christmas Eve, we have a big family gathering and all of the kids (cousins, neices, nephews) put on a christmas concert. It's a tradition that goes back generations. SOme will bring instruments, other sing songs. It's always a treat. So a few years back, I collected tapes going back to the first year grandpa rented a giant camcorder for the holidays in 1987. I put them all in sequence and got DVDs made for the whole family.
It is fun to watch. They're good memories, but they also put me in a happy place. I can kind of feel like I'm there -- not only Christmas, but for that half hour, I'm a kid again with no worries or troubles, grandma and grandpa are still alive and I can just enjoy it.
Thought I'd share. I'm ready for the holiday season again. Especially because I am a dad now, and I can watch my little Mae have that same wonder and fun at Christmastime.
The one friend from work (who's my dad's friend) is having his surgery tomorrow so keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Also, another friend found out that she has an ectopic pregnancy. She'll find out if she need surgery tomorrow. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers also. Thanks!
Take care and get some rest!Good Tuesday Morning, Christmas friends!
Well...I hardly got the chance to come here yesterday - and wasn't able to all last night. Sadly...it looks like that's the way its going to be all this week! I have a project at work due by the end of this week and because of some mishaps over the last couple of weeks, I'll be working every evening this week.
Last night I got home at 6:00 - gobbled down dinner and then started working until 9:30pm. By then I was completely exhausted.
Looks like by the time the weekend comes...I'll have a lot of catching up to do on MMC! Thankfully, we have a three day weekend!!!
Just know that even if I cannot make it on here much this week...I'll be thinking about all of you - and keeping Christmas warm and cozy in my heart and mind!
Have a super and merry day!!!
Kim and I walked past a Michael's Crafts on the weekend and they had scarecrows on display!! She shook her head as soon as I reminder her what would be displayed next!
