this was taken at about 11pm as I was coming back into town in the truck with Donna. (taken from inside the truck, I did not have a winter coat with me so did not go out in it)
The snow was coming down really thick and heavy, looked great!!!

I do not recall having snow this early before, but will look it up later to make sure.

Ohhhhh I am so jealous... I want snow.....

I like all the crazy people around here and the total acceptance of October Christmas decorating. I say we all just own it. We are the Crazy Holiday people! I say we just turn it around on everyone else for not being holiday crazy.

Yep...I couldnt agree more.

Yeah!!
Another friday means another milestone!!

9 Weeks to Xmas Eve already!!

Next week, we hit under the 2 months to go window!
Almost Nov already. It seems like just yesterday, it was labour day weekend and by next week, we will hit half way between Labour day and Xmas, WoW!!
Time has just flown by for me and things will only get busier.

Xmas items were out on the shelves at my local drug store last night so things will really start to look more and more like Xmas in the coming weeks.

Great times ahead!!

Have a great day and a super weekend!!

Cheers!!

ML

We are reaching these milestones so quick. Hard to believe only 9 weeks to Xmas Eve. Coming fast. Too fast.

Good morning all... while in the grocery store last night my son noticed the Christmas Tree and all the Christmas decorations the staff was working on and he started singing Oh Christmas Tree...LOl ...now mind you he is only 4 years old. It was tooo cute!!! Man I am really getting excited for the holidays. Once Halloween is over we will have to start pulling out the Christmas lights to test them. Unfortunately our schedule is so busy the next couple weeks that just do not have time to do it now otherwise we would be. LOL!

Have a great day everyone!

How cute!!!

My 2 year old is Christmas-obsessed, too! I think I am going to put his little tree in his room after Halloween is over. He's been asking for weeks!! I can't deny him any longer! :tree:

I know it's almost Halloween but my thoughts are on Thanksgiving and Christmas! I'm hoping for a better than usual Holiday season, it's been a rough year. :tree:

Good Friday Morning Christmas Pals,

The season is fast approaching and the weekend has finally arrived. Well nothing on my agenda this weekend except house cleaning. No shopping this weekend since I found that I am quite ahead of the game this year. Just 3 more gifts and I am done with my hubbys family and that is a big milestone for me. I have never been this close to being done BEFORE halloween. Anyway, I am focusing on housework this weekend and going thru more decorations. But with only 3 weeks left before lights and trees go up, I think its time to slow down on shopping and get ready for decorating. Well I hope everyone has a Fabulous Friday. And most of all, make it Merry and Bright.

I know what you mean. I am focusing on Thanksgiving and Christmas too. I seem more excited about it this year for some reason. I thought maybe its because it has been my first full year of having online Christmas pals. So I have been able to celebrate the season all year long which seems to make it more exciting. It has been a rough year for many. And that's why it upsets me to hear people complain about having to put up Christmas displays in the stores. Many people are out of work and would give anything to have a job putting up Christmas displays. I am hoping the Christmas season helps people put things into perspective and be thankful for their blessings. It's always my prayer for everyone to have a Wonderful Holiday Season.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

The school fall festival is upon us. I guess I'll be there all day, pulling my Dad's kiddie train. It's a lot of fun, though. I like to pretend we're about to crash into something, then turn away at the last moment. I don't drive too fast, but the kids love it! You should hear them squeal...then beg me to do it again. LOL

I've been trying to watch Clash of the Titans for 3 days now, getting a half hour in, here and there. Our only DVD player is in the living room, and that's where Nancy likes to help the kids study for tests in the evenings. :-? Maybe I'll finish it before Christmas. I'd like to see a couple Christmas movies, too.

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Same here... we always let the kids put their tree in their bedroom sometime after Halloween but before Thanksgiving.

Good morning,

I was just thinking about what I was doing a month ago, waiting for my son's bus to pick him up in the morning, we were wearing shorts and a t-shirt, now I can't send him out without a heavier fall jacket and a hat to keep his head warm. The season is changing so fast, in just over a week we will be going out for trick or treating, and then on Tuesday the 2nd Christmas music starts on Music Choice and I have that day off, I wonder what I will be doing that day, hmmm. Maybe start some preliminary Christmas decorating.
I have to go to work in less than 2 hours, another LONG shift, I will be home before 11 tonight, but this shift is the most exhausting to me.

Have a great Friday!

Another sign that the Christmas season is just around the corner: my local radio station had a contest yesterday which head the headline "Claim your Christmas Cash on Thousand Dollar Thursday!!"

Also, Trans Siberian Orchestra is coming to town on November 5th, and the radio station's been promoting it like crazy. I expect the station to "flip the switch" over to Holiday music on Nov. 5th, to accompany the concert (if not sooner).

In fact, it'll be interesting to see how quickly some stations flip over to holiday format, following Halloween (last year, there was one local station that flipped over to Christmas music the Friday BEFORE Halloween)...

I would totally go to places like Wal Mart and the mall and put up Christmas displays for free. People don't want to do it, I love Christmas. Seems like a win win situation for everybody.

Have to put the Christmas stuff on the back burner for a little bit though, Today is going to be a day of cleaning and decorating the inside of the house for our Halloween party. I think tonight I may cut a few pumpkins. Can't believe things are approaching so fast. My wife and I were discussing this morning how we haven't even started Christmas shopping yet. I know it will come together, but this has to be the latest we've started since we've been together.

For several years I worked in retail, and I used to love putting out the Christmas stuff!
