Christmas Countdown - 2010

We didn't see many kids out here... Halloween seems to be dying down, at least in Canada. Too bad as I really used to love the tradition as a kid. We are only two hours away from November. I can't wait to be overcome by Christmas commercials and then Christmas music on the 13th. It shall be a fun ride, friends.

Well, Halloween is just about over, and I am just about ready to do a full switch to Christmas now. The boys had a great time trick or treating, they were so good using their manners, I had the cutest cowboy and vampire going around with me, and they made quite a haul of candy. Visited my Grandparents, they are doing well my Grandpa has a prosthetic leg and is doing well with it. I will be doing the Undecorating for Halloween tomorrow, and start for Christmas on Tuesday, bought 3 boxes of new lights this morning, I plan to be done decorating early this year, but won't turn the lights on until the Friday after Turkey Day, who knows I will probably turn them on earlier.

Just turned the front light off. I had so many trick or treaters tonight. I went through five bags of candy. I bought some miniature candy canes last week and for some of the kids, I threw in the candy canes with the Milky Ways and Kit Kats.

These are the times that I cherish. We just got done cooking at out my parents, the kids are coming down the street, and we are all sitting and visiting. I said this last year but I'm going to say it again...Halloween is like getting rid of all the evil that goes on in this world.....almost like it is all getting up and departing, because tomorrow the greatest feeling in the world starts. Everyone starts to talk about Christmas. That's right. Christmas.

Man oh man....I love this time of year. Going out to visit. See y'all later!

Very busy weekend for us!

We spent another day at the air show and saw the Blue Angels again. No VIP seating this time. We had a blast there!

Ran in the door and trick-or-treating is going on right now. The family that just left said we are in the best spirit for Halloween and took pictures of their kids in front of our house. Our house is not that decked out but I guess compared to everyone else on the block we are the only ones who decorated.

Have a Happy Halloween everyone and I will get caught up, I hope in the next couple of days.

Christmas season almost here and the signs are definitely picking up!!

All the main stores I hit on Sat had all their Christmas decorations out (Wal-Mart, Can Tire, Staples, etc...)
Soon the stores will be decorated and we are already scheduling events with the fam. for the coming weeks.

Can't wait for tv specials to get announced and the egg nog to hit the shelves!!

My mother showed me a picture of her neighborhood after she got snow on friday night and it's looking very Xmassy already.

Good morning everyone... and Happy NOVEMBER 1st....Well we got a lot of Christmas shopping done yesterday... we are about 90% done with the kids now! I am so ready to start wrapping... maybe this weekend.

Kids had a blast trick or treating lastnight. Surprising though we did not get a lot of kids here last night. Half way through the evening we went from giving 2 pieces each to handfuls to the kids because we had so much candy.

I forgot to mention this last night. This is about the air show I had gone to with Wayne and my dad.

I always carry this little bag that has cd's in it to listen to in the car. I had thrown in a few Christmas ones along with The Beatles but actually had forgot they were there.

Coming home from the air show we were listening to The Beatles. Then when Abbey Road cd finished I said jokingly to my dad, "hey, I have a Dean Martin Christmas cd". He said, "oh I like Dean". I figured he thought I was kidding and I showed him the cd. He said, "let's listen to it"! We popped it in and listened to it all the way home. This was an hour and half drive by the way. I was actually surprised because I thought he was going to hand it back and say something like, "kind of early for that".

I am the only one in the family who loves Christmas year round. Nice that my dad joined in with me!

Happy November!!!! It's sooo chilly, so it's a perfect start to the Christmas season! Jude's blue tinsel tree with blue lights are up in his room.. he is so so so excited!

We only got TWO trick or treaters last night! We have a massive amount of candy left.. and Jude couldn't be more excited and hyper, ha! My little firefighter had such a great time trick or treating!!
