Christmas Countdown - 2010

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Finally November so lets all make a toast with eggnog. I am so glad that October is over it seemed to be dragging in parts trying to avoid the holidays getting here.

I don't know if I will get my tree up today. :-?

I spent an hour and half going through my Christmas decorations and I did put some things out around the house and set up 2 little trees but I am just flat out tired! I spent the whole weekend out in the sun at the air show and sunburned even though I applied sunscreen. I think the weekend just wiped me out! We were gone from sun up till sun down both days.

Not sure if the big tree will be up today but I did get some of the house decorated with the help of my 4 year old grandson! cheesy

You got some Christmas out and around the house and that is still a FANTASTIC accomplishment. And you had one of your little helpers there so that is always good. The tree will go up soon and it will still be right on time. If you do it while you are tired, you may not enjoy putting it up as much. Get some rest from your active weekend and get started on that tree when YOU are ready!

Happy November. I was happy to read that music choice started their Christmas Music today! I cant wait to get off of work and turn it on TV when I get home cheesy.

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween. My Boys both had a good time but Dylan (1 year old) was very very tired and didnt last very long!

Im so happy its November now please let the time slow down. Im really looking forward to these next few weeks. Have a nice evening Christmas friends and enjoy every moment from here on out.

Where did the time go?!? I can't believe we're so close to the holiday season. I'm contemplating buying a small tree to put in my little apartment lol!

I would say: just do it! we have a tiny appartment as well, a tree just brings a lot of Christmas cheer in for us! Good to hear you had a great halloween

the most important thing is you and your grandson had a great time, and you enjoy decorating... if you don't have lots of energy, just do it when you do feel up to it take some time for yourself and enjoy the time of the year!

Aside from all the decorating and the music, even got the annual Postal Xmas notice in the mail today for on time delivery dates for Christmas.

And I've seen about 15 new holiday commercials today and for the Santa Claus Parade. It sure is here and it feels great, the holiday winter magic is in the air!!!! :rudolph:

Evening all! Almost done a busy busy day of work. Some people just SHOULDN'T own a computer. haha. I have my desk here at work decorate. Getting lots of funny looks but I don't care! Tonight hopefully I'm going to get my Christmas countdown avon clock out and some more stuff. Not sure if it will be too dark to put the lights up but that wont stop me! 4 minutes to go for work and I leave after that! Have a good evening all. I might be on later.

My mom and I are lighting a Christmas tree scented candle, grabbing some snacks, and are going to watch a Christmas movie! I got her all in the spirit today with the carols! :hello::rudolph:

:treeguy: Our local Christmas Craft shows are on the calendar for the weekend after next, I didn't get to any last year because I didn't need anything like that. My mom wants to go so I'll take her around so she can get her "bizarre fix".

I know what I'm getting my mom for Christmas. I'm so excited about it. It's so practicle, I can hardly believe it. For those folks who don't know, my mom had a stroke three years ago, she is a bit limited in her mobility, but it's a depth perception thing because the stroke had a bit of impact on her vision and her cognitive abilities, but most people don't notice it when they're around her. She does misplace things sometimes and she loves purses so I'm getting her a set of four Miche designer bags. The first one is black and then I get to choose three more styles (shells) to go with the original one. She'll wind up with four styles to suit different events, but can keep the contents inside the plain black one so she won't lose anything.

Now, I have to find something extra special for my dad, I always wind up getting him movies and books or clothes, I'd like to find something different.

The grandkids are no worry, they're always thrilled with their surprises.

Haven't gotten anything for my husband yet. I have three ornaments, some gift wrap, 3 rolls of SCOTCH tape (mmmm smell those pine needles) and three box of decorative Christmas cards.

Guess I better get moving or Christmas will be here and I won't be ready. )

O'Malley was going to get coal in his stocking, but I think Santa will find something for him.

When I lived up in Smithers BC way back in the early 80's, I used to love watching the snow gather on the mountain and then slowly make its way down the mountain side to town. cheesy

Well, Halloween is just about over, and I am just about ready to do a full switch to Christmas now. The boys had a great time trick or treating, they were so good using their manners, I had the cutest cowboy and vampire going around with me, and they made quite a haul of candy. Visited my Grandparents, they are doing well my Grandpa has a prosthetic leg and is doing well with it. I will be doing the Undecorating for Halloween tomorrow, and start for Christmas on Tuesday, bought 3 boxes of new lights this morning, I plan to be done decorating early this year, but won't turn the lights on until the Friday after Turkey Day, who knows I will probably turn them on earlier.

My 3,000 post was on the ABC 25 Days of Christmas. That is pretty fitting, seeing as how I spend four months out of the year looking for that schedule. The year before I found this site, I actually looked for it for 6 months.

I love the 25 Days of Christmas. Looks like a pretty good schedule.
