Days to Christmas Day: 24 (Now under 3 1/2 weeks to go, Folks!)
Better move those Christmas preparations into high gear!

Wow! Lots of wind and rain last night. There was a tornado watch out but I saw nothing severe around here.
It started at 61 this morning and has now fallen to 58 with steadily declining temperatures predicted through the day.
At least there is not supposed to be any more precipitation.
How was the weather where you are, Bing? We usually seem to get similar conditions.

See you at the 'Pines(?). Carl says they are whipping up some kind of "Thanksgiving leftover blend". I shudder to think what THAT means!

Good morning one and all, and happy December! It is cold here in northern California with rain predicted today. But you know that "It Never Rains in Southern California," don't you? Christmas things to do at school. My radio is set to Christmas music, and the only time I turn it off is during the timed multiplication daily test. The kids love it!

Yes, we started ours today too! This is something we have done since the kids where born. Their calendars are all from 1989 (had a house fire that summer so all where replaced at them same time) They are cloth with a little mouse that gets moved every day for the countdown. Most days when they get up there is also a small gift of some kind for them. (they got Christmas socks today!)
It is so much fun to surprise them.

Speaking of surprises, they found another one just like their's, brand new in a thrift store and are now getting stuff to put in mine! I have great kids!!!

I seen the picture of your calendar and I have the same exact one! I bought it from Avon even before I started having children and still use it now with my grandchildren.

Welcome to DECEMBER 1ST!!!!!! My my how November FLEW by. Treasure it now! This weekend we will try and visit Santa again, hopefully with the results of SEEING him this time haha. Christmas party is this month at my house, everyone here can come! hehe. Kinda dead at work today as well. We FINALLY have a bit of snow starting...well....snow flurries at least. Ill take it! YAY! Well I'm at work so back to work! Have a great day all!

Happy 1st of December everyone! Hope everyone is having a great day and has the best December ever! Its hard for it to sink in that it is only 24 days away till Christmas already! This year went by so fast and this holiday season is going by so fast too, guess thats a good thing and sign that its turning out to be a very merry season this year!

Hi everyone... I love the fact that I have a place that I can come to to escape from the daily maddness even if it's just for a few moments. Well just found out today that my dad has 3 blockages in his heart but because of locations of his current stents they can not go that route and he is looking at having a triple by-pass however they can not do that until they get his kidney functions back up.. he is already border line kidney failure. It is such a mess. Looks like he wil be in the hospital for most of the month if not the whole month. Worse case is that we will change our arpund our normal plans for Christmas Eve/Day and take the kids to him in the hospital to celebrate Christmas. At leaset he is in good spirits. I just bought a new camera on Black Friday and my dad loves cameras so when we go to visit him again tomorrow I am bring my camera with him. Tjhis will give him something to explore for a bit... cheesy

(when my daughter was in hospital for about 2 months, she kept a guest sign in book, took pictures , made a scrap book and a journal and got the nurses to autograph it. The times when she was not feeling very good I kept it up for her. We were actually looking at it the other day, some was not nice to remember, but there where a lot of good memories too. She has a picture of herself with most of her guests visiting her)

Thanks... I was think about having the kids make some Christmas ornaments for my dad and pick up a small tree to take into the hospital and decorate it with ornaments that the kids make. We have plenty of pine cones in the yard.. I may go grab some, bake off the sap and let the kids decorate with beads, cotton balls, etc.

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!! It is a cold snowy day here in central Indy. We are only expecting a dusting but it is causing people to drive crazy. There are wrecks all over the place. I guess they all just forgot how to drive in the snow over the summer. I don't have much planned for today. I ran to the store this morning and now I am just going to kick back and watch it snow. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evening all!!! How is everyone enjoying the 1st Dec!!! We have had so much snow (unusual for nov/dec) that half of shops have been closed, and no post is being delivered!! I bought afew bits for my tree online so am desperate for them to start delivering post again!

Kids were so excited opening number 1 on their advent calendars this morning, must say i was excited watching them open it, means christmas really nearly is here now:???:

Well going to bed now, expecting my 11 month old up early in the morning, she fell asleep earlier than normal tonight!
