It looks like we need 199 posts to hit 16,000 on Christmas Countdown! That computes to33.166666 posts per day. But who wants to quibble over the decimal? Make that 34 posts per day and we will go OVER 16,000!!!

Make that 197 posts. I forgot to add my last post. So the number of posts we need per day will decrease with each post, and the number we now need is 32.833333!

Duh! What an idiot I sound like. I am sure you all know the number of posts needed will decrease with each post.

Good morning, Christmas family. I am working today but decided to stop for a moment to check in. Our Christmas Eve was fabulous !! Christmas Day is always kind of just another day, the holiday for us is Christmas Eve. I am not as bad as last year yet but I do feel sad:( today. After Christmas Eve, not much to look forward to here but I know with all of you as my Christmas family it will all be fine, at leas I hope so. I hope all are having a wonderful Sunday !

Sorry you are feeling sad... I used to feel that way after Christmas but now once Christmas is over I start planning for next Christmas. I was not as organized this year as I would have liked to have been. Too much last minute rushing around and was not able to do everything I would have liked to do. Soooo this week I will start on assembling a Christmas Notebook to help me be more organized for next Christmas. This Christmas may be over but I already looking forward to the next.

We got back from Walmart a little bit ago... talk about a mad house, it was almost as crowded as Black Friday. We had to go to 2 different walmart stores. AT the first one we found tags and led lights and at the second one we found wrapping paper that we liked... didn't like the selection at the first store. So now we are stocked up on wrapping paper and gift name tags. I think I am going to follow my hubby's suggestion and keep the wrapping paper bin stored in my closet so I can wrap gifts as I buy them through out the year or set up wrapping dates to wrap and list the gifts. I was wrapping until the last minute this year which is not me but so many things kept coming up that the wrapping kept getting pushed off so I ended up rushing and doing a so-so wrapping job.

A Christmas Notebook sounds like a great idea!! And I'm ready to start getting ready for next Christmas too! One year ago today I was feeling sad and out of sorts about Christmas being over and I stumbled onto this web site and I have loved it ever since. It has really been a blessing to me to find other people who love Christmas just as much as I do (particularly in the summer months here in Alabama is not easy!) So from shopping for my half off Christmas decorations for next year to just remembering how good this year has been, I'm ready for Christmas countdown 2011!:treeguy:

Although I had a great Christmas I too felt it was rushed at time with too much left to the last minute. The notebook idea is excellent and I think I will employ the same idea to help for next year. Let's get planning! cheesy

and now christmas is coming to an end over here as well. our second christmas holiday is coming to and end and it was fabulous...but to me the season is going through New year s eve kind of....even as a child...the week from christmas eve to new years eve was always magical...the lights are still there, the trees are still up....some of the presents are still under the tree...so christmas holidays do continue for me :D

One of the sister sites magicalholidayhome has some great ideas on putting together a christmas notebook. I usually do one everyyear but did not do one for this year and it showed. The best part is everyone's notebook will be different then everyone else's as you can customize your notebook to your needs/wants. Good luck with them and iu am sure they will be a big help.

If you don't want to know the number of posts we need, then just delete this one. Only 189 posts until we hit 16,000 for this season!

back from the crazy trip to Walmart...2 of them actually looking for an item we did not find (we did finally find it at another store!) My daughters went to Old Navy. A couple of crazy guys fighting over a parking spot so I left so they could have mine. (I was leaving anyway so it worked out great, I hope)
Left over turkey casserole is in the oven for supper. Will also bake the last of the buns to go with it.
