Mornign everyone!!! Been cleaning all morning... we have a showing at noon so I have to take my little guy out in the cooooold and find something to do during his naptime! Blech - hope this is the one, though!!!

Big news for us!!!! Found out before Christmas that we are expecting baby #2!!! I got to see the heartbeat on an ultrasound yesterday and it was so exciting! Due in August so we'll have two sweet babies next Christmas!!! I can't wait to meet this new little one!!

Well. I can relax and enjoy the rest of the day, another cake done and delivered.



Going into Toronto for the day, visit my favorite cake supply store and then to the Royal Ontario Museum. Going with some friends and my daughter.

LOL, forget football rivalries, do I sense a "brewing" tea versus coffee rivalry here? I think we have three pounds of tea leaves, two full boxes of Red Rose, a pound of rose buds, a pound of elderflower, a pound of chamomile, and assorted boxes of teas lying around, plus a tin of the ever present "looked good, but wasn't so much" in the back of the cupboard. Even at a pace of three 2 liter pitchers a day plus three or four pots, I don't think we'll exhaust our stash by spring. Although maybe that would be a good spring cleaning exercise: see if we can clear out the backs of the cupboards from tea (or coffee)? My husband likes the idea, so long as we order a few more pounds when the cupboards are bare.

Has anyone started prepping for next year yet?

Wow, Christmasstar! That's a stunning cake. Mind if I ask if that's fondant or marzipan or something else entirely?

It is a lemon pound cake, soaked in a lemon drizzle, then cut into 3 layers with lemon pie filling between them. Then it was iced with a light lemon icing and covered with fondant.

I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! The Cowboys won! Fantastic! Just fantastic! Last time they won a playoff game was the year after I graduated high school. Seems like forever (13 years ago), but it really wasn't.

Waiting another week before I pull out my calendar for the next year. Just going to read MMC and watch Cmas movies in the morning, at least until playoffs start.

Today was fantastic. Very laid back, got to do some fun things with family, watch football, and hang out with my wife. She starts back to school Monday (working on her Dr. in medical field) and when school is going on, we don't get to visit much or do things like that, so that made today extra special!

cheesy My husband thinks I should be on that show. What I call antique or personal sentiment, he calls junk.

On Friday, someone cleaning up around work brought three old vinyl albums to me and said the cook indicated they had to belong to me. They did. Two Perry Como Christmas albums and a Davy Crocket one. I remember bringing them in one day a few years back for a teacher to show children what albums looked like.

Does that make me a hoarder? :-?
