Christmas Countdown - 2010

:hello: Ran into the mailman today and gave him the countdown. He's a hoot. He has a hearty laugh and if I don't say it straight out he asks how many days remain until Christmas. I teased him because he wasn't doing his route last Friday (didn't see him yesterday either) that I thought his friends from Facebook caught up with him and beat him up for counting down - quite a few are postal workers.

My Mystery Twin and I have travelled together through 3 boards.
And it was Jay who welcomed me here and set up the 2007 Season/Christmas Day countdown thread based on what we did at C.com and The Christmas Place!
What a nice sight to see it already in place when I arrived here in late July of that year.

You know....I try to be a very upbeat person, but I had an awful AWFUL A-W-F-U-L day at work...then I saw Johnor's post....my day wasn't quite that bad.

Johnor, I'm very sorry. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so sad for your family and you.

well guys,

it hasn't been the nicest start to the year for my family :-?

last night my aunt (through marriage) passed away

a few days ago she suffered a heart attack and was not found in time, therefore she went into a coma, when she was woken to assess the extent of the damage they found she was brain dead due to lack of oxygen and her organs started to fail.

it's just so sad and so unfair. my poor, poor uncle is heartbroken, they were so happy together and it's such a shock. she was a lovely lady and will be very sadly missed.

life is so short, we have to live it to the full and count our blessings.

My prayers go out to your entire family.

Good Afternoon...well we just had a money wrench thrown into our budget for this year already. The support bar on our sleeper sofa broke yesterday and can not be repaired so we will be out shopping for a new sofa soon. Not a good way to start off the new year. Oh well....i guess it could be worse.

Well at least most stores will start running their tax return sales soon.

Unfortunately for me.. I am feeling a little under the weather today.. Think it's just a simple cold..but I really can't afford to get sick right now.. I just added another class to my list of things to do..NO ROOM FOR RELAXATION anymore hahahah..

Well I am about to head out for work again today. Yesterday I was hoping to be home by mid afternoon but I did not get home until almost 7pm. My accounts were all in a friendly mood and wanted to talk and then I hit a couple of wrecks on the interstate on the way home. Today I am once again hoping to be home by mid afternoon. I am staying closer to home but I will still be on the south west and west side of indianapolis today. So I will still be about 40 miles from home. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gee! The cold weather just won't stop!
We are again into the lower half of the 20's and my poor 25 year old heat pump just can't keep up. I'm under a blanket as I type this.
At least the sun has returned.

And we are barely over half a week away from the 300-Day Season Milestone!

My tree is finally coming down today.. sigh! The ornaments are gone but I left the lights on so I could enjoy it one last day before the hubby hauls it to the curb this evening. Waaaah!

Eeek! A mouse! Once, my cat was dragging a mouse (an ALIVE mouse!!!) around the house and dropped it in my SHOE! I was so horrified that I never wanted to wear those shoes again!!!!!!!
