Haven't been here since Thursday. I had three very important coaches in my life. Had an ol' ballcoach of mine pass.....

All the years of advice he gave me, all the encouragement, all the kinds words he said to me....

all of those will be repaid today. His family asked me to deliver the eulogy. I pray I do him justice. Kinda nervous, kinda emotional...kinda hope you guys might drop me a little prayer for strength.

Well I am feeling better today. I still have a cough but it is not nearly as bad as it was yesterday. I need to do some dishes and run to the store this afternoon. I have some friends coming over to watch football this afternoon and cheer the colts on to a win over the ravens. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a speech to work on I'd be here all morning. But I will be back this afternoon. Got the coffee going yet Bing? Brad, didn't mean to get your appetite all worked up over the fried pickles...lol! Made, sorry don't feel well, and Christmasstar, glad your daughter is home for the weekend. Finally, Crown, gotta watch out for those coffee drinkers just laying around lapping up that coffee....that was funny!

Hey everyone!

I finally have water! Hubby got all the pipes fixed yesterday, so the water is flowing again. I have so much laundry and dishes to do. I will be working on it all weekend. I have already done 2 loads of dishes and 3 loads of laundry, so I am off to a good start. I also have some work for work to do. I'm working on that when I can. Luckily, I have Monday off so I have an extra day to get it all done. This is a busy, busy, weekend. I am still planning on watching the football games, though.

One of the hardest things to do is get up and speak at the funeral of someone who had deeply touched your heart and made a difference in your life. It is also the most rewarding way to remember them.
Praying you will be given the perfect words to relay.

Well, that was very hard.....and very rewarding....I'm relieved that people laughed when appropriate and that people felt my passion for him because of the emotion I showed and they showed it to....I think it was one of my finest moments...I could feel the thoughts and prayers and I thought about it before I spoke....thanks!

Even though I am a die hard Cowboys fan I will be cheering on the Ravens tonight for my husbands sake, lol. If it comes down to Cowboys/Ravens I will be against his team all the way!!! cheesy

If you can bring on the bravery and stand before a crowd to share your memories or capture a snapshot of a friend's life, sometimes I think it helps heal the ache faster than if you are sitting among the other people paying their respects and just listening.

Good for you to pull it off in memory of your friend.
