Hey all!

I'm feeling kind of sad today. Today is the anniversary of my Dad's death. It has been 17 years, but I still get very sad on this day.

I hope everyone dealing with all the snow stays safe and warm. I can't imagine life with all of that snow. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing. We are expecting a little snow Friday/Saturday, but nothing like what everyone else is getting.

Well it has been a hetic day today. This morning I spent 2 hoours shoveling the snow drifts from the sidewalk and from around everyones cars in my building. We didn't get alot more snow overnight but the wind was terrible. Then I rushed around and cleaned my apartment before comcast came to install my high speed internet. I also had to keep going back outside and cleaning off the sidewalk because the wind kept blowing the snow back over it. Comcast finally showed up about 3pm this afternoon and got me all hooked up. So now I have ditched the dark ages of dial up and joined the real world. I have also been watching nascar coverage all afternoon when ever I got a free minute. Tongiht will be spent playing on the computer and trying to keep the sidewalk clear of snow until the wind finally stops. I hope everyone has a GREAT EVENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have my very deepest sympathy on this sad day. I am so sorry for your lost. My first husband passed away it will be 18 years this Nov. 2 and I still get sad on that day also. No matter how much time goes by when we lose someone, never whole again are we ??

I have the same feeling on my dads. He went home on May 24, 1997, 13 years ago this year.
I like to visit his grave site on this day and will usually give mom a call too.

Sugarplum.. it was three years ago in January that my beloved dad passed away- an event so traumatic I thought I would surely not survive... but it was this community that rallied behind me and pulled me along in my darkest of days,.,,, and each time I log in here I am reminded of family and the amazing ability of people to reach out and share.. keep coming here and those anniversdary dates, while always sad, are somehow easier to observe.

I'm feeling kind of sad today. Today is the anniversary of my Dad's death. It has been 17 years, but I still get very sad on this day.

SPF...I know how you feel. I lost my mother almost 11 years ago. Somedays it still feels like yesterday. Holidays, her birthday and whatnot can be extra difficult. And I can't tell you how many times I wished I could just pick up the phone one more time or to pop in and see her. But I try to be strong because I know she wouldn't want me to be sad and dwell on it all. God has many different plans for all of us. And as my mother always said He isn't going to give us more than we can handle. Although it was really hard to see this in the beginning I must admit she was right! And I know in my heart one day we will be together again! Take care!

Although I lost my mother in March. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She loved to decorate, entertain, bake and host our annual Christmas Eve. Parties every year. Shortly after she passed, I found this awesome poem online. I posted it on MMC once before but thought I'd share it again with all our new Christmas Friends here on the forum.

I see the countless CHRISTMAS TREES around the world below
with tiny lights like HEAVEN’S STARS reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so SPECTACULAR please wipe away that tear
for I am spending CHRISTMAS WITH JESUS CHRIST this year. I hear the many CHRISTMAS SONGS that people hold so dear
but the SOUND OF MUSIC can't compare with the CHRISTMAS CHOIR up here.

Good Evening Friends!
Whatta day! I had to go to the chiropractor today for a little adjustment. Let me tell ya this guy is good. I feel like a new person when I walk out of his office. Looks like a possibilty of snow tomorrow. They tend to say this alot and then we get nothing or very little...which is fine by me...*L* I almost forgot d/d doesn't have school on Monday because of Presidents Day. Is it early this year or what? I thought it was more like the 20th or so of Feburary. Have a great evening everyone. cheesy

I wasn't even offered a 5 year warranty, the max was 3. I just got a call from them and they said my hard drive was corrupted. They confirmed it should take 2 weeks. There were a few other minor problems with it as well. I am just glad that I at least heard from them to see what was wrong and now getting something done. After this is repaired I have a little over a year left on the warranty.

Well that's good that you found out what was going on. Don't ya just hate not knowing. It's very unnerving to me that's for sure! So...is everything covered then with your warranty? After I got my new hard drive I've never since had a problem thank goodness cause my warranty is and has been history.
