Snowing???? UGH! I'm kinda done with that for SEVERAL months! Lol! Supposed to be almost 70º today! Bring it on!!!

I can't believe its been so long since I've been here. Life is getting busy - it's that time of year! Getting ready for gardening, we are going to re-do the main floor of our house (paint, carpet, new furniture...) & it just seems like we are always running!!! But I think about you guys all the time!!! I know that even when I can't be here, the site is up & running & MERRY! Love it!! :-D

Crown - I AM coming to the pines today! It's been too long!!

Happy hump day everyone!!

A favorite Christian group of mine, Casting Crowns, did an excellent version of this song on their Christmas album a couple Christmases ago.

That's why Christmas is so great. It is an advocate for peace on Earth and Goodwill toward men.

A great song that always places this in perspective for me is "I Heard the Bells On Christmas Day." The lyrics are even relevant to today, eventhough the song was written during the US civil war in the 1800s.

Lyrics are as follows:

I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

I thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along the unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

And in despair I bowed my head:
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men."

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men."

Till, ringing singing, on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,
Of peace on earth, good will to men!

.....HEY CROWNSTER.. A fired twinkie at ya
Got it! Delicious!

Good Morning, Folks, Friends and Christmas Creatures.

What a beautiful, sunny morning here!
Not a cloud in the sky nor a breath of wind.
I can hear the birds outside my window and we stand at 53 degrees, headed for a predicted high of 76.
Great!

Our middle-of-the-week/Shispering Pines Day count:
Days to the Season: 227
Days to Christmas Day:269
April begins tomorrow and that month will see us reach 2 more milestones, the 1/3 Christmas Day mark and the 200-day window to the Season, the latter now being under 4 weeks away.
How can the year be moving so quickly??

Have a Wonderful Wednesday and (hopefully) a Vivacious Visit to the 'Pines where Holiday, Carl and I will be waiting with Maruadio Sugar Cookies, the sweetest iced tea this side of heaven....and....yes....even some coffee (if you can call it that once Carl gets through experimenting on it).

I am beat! I have not stopped going for the past few weeks. My daughter is doing externship at a doctors office and also has many doctor appointments to follow up on the car accident she had. I have been helping out watching my 3 grandchildren and going to work. I have been having fun with the grandkids but I AM TIRED! I will be ok though and shouldn't complain, I am blessed. cheesy I plan to go to bed extra early tonight and rest up for another exciting day tomorrow.

I hope you got lots of rest last night!!!!!!!!!cheesy

It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here in central indy. They are calling for a high of 71 today and 80 the next 2 days. Perfect weather for all of the visitors in town for the final four. I went to my sisters house last night and the hotels by her house where already packed and we are about 30 miles from downtown indy. Not much planned for today. I may run back to the grocery store because I forgot to pick up a couple of items I need for easter dinner. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was looking at pictures yesterday and noticed some of a snowstorm we had on April 6, 2009. We have not had our last blast of winter yet, so everyone here is waiting for that to happen yet.
:snowball:
Have fun with yours!

Hear ya the CS. I am sure we will get more here too.

Good Morning....
A little cooler today with some wind and blue skies. We didn't get much more snow last night and nothing this morning. Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Got to head to work about 10am today. Have a great day!!

It seems as if Spring has finally arrived this week. Highs in the upper 70's. Working on our garden yesterday while the kids played on the swing set. Blue skies, birds singing, beautiful!

We're having our 2nd consectutive day of over 80 degree weather. I'm sure we'll have some cooler weather before Summer; but I fairly confident that Winter is over here in OK. Now on to Spring with thunderstorms, tornadoes, etc.

I did! I fell asleep at 9:30 watching Jesus of Nazareth movie. I didn't wake up until 6:30 am.

The grandkids are here and I am glad I am full of energy! Thank goodness! One of the grandkids is sick and cannot play outside today so we had an indoor picnic. We spread a blanket on the floor and pretended to be outside eating our lunch. They thought that was fun!
